Relaxing and Beautiful stay

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Aug 2, 2009
The room was huge so we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. Very clean, and fresh.
The three course breakfast was awesome!

My husband and I along with our son and his girlfriend (ages 21 & 19) flew from Toronto to L.A., drove the Pacific Coast and then drove to Sedona for the amazing scenary and tranquility of the red rocks. I have been before, but this trip was amazing.

All along the coat of California, we stayed in upscale hotels, offering the typical continental breakfast. You get in the line up and pile your plates. You hear the kids running down the halls at all hours of the night, you hear the doors slam when people come and go and there always seems to be a train track close by.

At Las Posadas of Sedona you will get none of that. You enter your private villa type residence where you have an amazing view of the red rocks. We had a suite with a fireplace separating the bedroom from the living room. A jacuzzi outside for the 4 of us was perfect. No noise, no trains, no slamming of doors and right at the junction to the town of Sedona.

The best part was breakfast the next morning. You enter the most beautiful part of this villa and a chef cooks a 3 course breakfast for you. We started out with coffee, fresh fruit, granola and yogurt. Then he came with a home made peach tart (warm) with pumpkin seeds and the 3rd course was a spinach/cheese/egg fritatta which was about 3 inches high by 4 inches wide, along with sausage and fried tomates. This meal was amazing. The entire time you are eating you are listening to the most beautiful, peaceful music.

You don't have a fitness centre on the premises or a pool, although you can use a facility across the street. You don't have room service options, but there are many wonderful inexpensive places to eat 5 minutes away. You don't have maid service knocking on your door at 8:00 a.m. to clean your room. Everything is peaceful and at a slow pace. Free parking and free internet is also available.

If you want to be with the 100 people fighting for the last runny scrambled eggs at the Best Western and the kids loading up their pockets with apples, be my guest. But if you want to be looked after, have a peaceful sleep and amazing food and service, book this hotel. The rates were comparable to other 4 - 5 star Sedona hotels. We haven't stopped talking about this one night stay.

We will definately be back and will refer all our friends and family to this lovely resort. Thank you for everything.

Just a note of thanks to Carlos and the team at Las Posadas for ensuring that we had yet another wonderful weekend stay with them.
As residents of Phoenix, we often go to Sedona for quick, weekend get-aways. We always choose Las Posadas when rooms are available. This weekend we encountered random trouble with noisy neighbors - our first ever complaint. Needless to say, our middle-of-the-night complaints were handled so promptly and so completely by Carlos (the property manager) that not only will we continue to return, we will recommend the place even more!
It is an absolute delight to know that the Las Posadas team values their guests like family . . . bravo! IT IS THE ONLY PLACE TO STAY IN SEDONA.

We were very pleased with the service, privacy, location, and cleanliness. The room was the size of a small apartment with a small private balcony, an upgrade and much more luxurious than we expected. The little touches, like an appetizer and fresh baked cookies in the room, sets Las Posadas apart from a hotel. Breakfast was fantastic and the service is excellent-- Chef Andre himself served us. The location is great, away from the crowds, yet great restaurants and shops are just a short drive away. Not really a place for kids, no pool, but you can have a hot tub.

All I can say is wow! For the price you won't find a better place to stay. The rooms are above and beyond what you would expect in this price category. You defiantly feel like your at home when you stay here except everything is done for you. Don't forget about the 3 course breakfast it was incredible, not what I was expecting at all. Where else are you going to find a personal chef to make breakfast for you.

We just returned from a week's stay at Las Posadas. The location is just before the town of Sedona, which is perfect. You don't need to hassle with the busy traffic because of the road contstruction in town. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. The rooms are spacious & gorgeous. We especially liked the convenience of the kitchenette with the coffee maker, microwave and mini-fridge, allowing us the option of dining in if we chose. The breakfasts were subperb as were the snacks and cookies -a special treat every afternoon - something new & different!
It was a peaceful & relaxing vacation. The staff was helpful when we decided to book a tour to the Grand Canyon. They also sent a breakfast tray for us so that we didn't miss breakfast the morning of the tour which picked us up at 7AM (before breakfast time).
We highly recommend this gem. We are telling all our friends in NY about it! We plan to return as soon as we can!
