We were visiting the area from California. We always look on tripadvisor for recommendations for restaurants in an unfamiliar area. Blackstone Steakhouse seemed like a good choice. The two of us arrived without a reservation around 6:30 p.m. Friday evening, June 2nd. We were seated at a nice table. The restaurant has a "clubby" and comfortable feel. They had a special on premium wines that evening, but having arrived in New York that morning after a red-eye flight with little sleep, we decided we would not be able to fully enjoy fine wine that evening. I opted for a Bombay Sapphire Martini. It tasted good, and it was large. Extra olives were provided. We shared the wedge salad and the tuna crudo. The piece de resistance was a bone-in filet. Perfectly cooked. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Blackstone Steakhouse receives four stars rather than five because it is not in the class of Peter Luger or similar steakhouses. But it is very good.

Went for business dinners several times. This statehouse is convenient if you have business in the area but it is way too overpriced for what it is. High qualify food (a bit over done at times) but price not justified in my view. Try steak or fish all good but don't go if it is on you. Ok if someone else pays the bill.

This place is fantastic. We first arrived about a half hour prior to our reservation time, the valet parked our car, we entered and announced our arrival to the maitre'd. We hit the bar for a pre-dinner cocktail and the bar area was fun! Lively scene, music in the background, sports on the TVs behind the bar, beautiful people dressed up nice for a phenomenal Saturday night. The cocktails were excellent! At about 10 minutes past our reservation time we were seated at a nice round booth for two (very romantic). We ordered some appetizers (the tomato and mozzarella and the crabmeat cocktail were great!). Then, we shared some sashimi for their excellent sushi bar. Very fresh and delicious yellowtail, salmon, and tuna sashimi. I highly recommend the sashimi! Then, our steaks arrived. Cooked to perfection (mine medium rare and my wife's medium) they were very good. While my wife felt that hers was slightly overcooked, and a bit dry, I had to admit that mine was cooked exactly medium rare and was juicy and tasty. While the price is a bit more than some other steakhouses on Long Island, you are obviously paying for the old school NYC waiter service, the cool vibe at the bar, and the variety (the sushi options make this more than just your average steakhouse). A bit pricey for an "every Saturday night" visit, but definitely worth it as our "anniversary/celebration" spot.

Visited them twice this week for business dinners and as always, every item ordered was fabulous. Steaks are perfect and sushi is of excellent quality. Will be back there in two weeks.
