My wife and I stayed in the Olympic Suite for our honeymoon and it was spectacular. Having our own indoor cave pool was absolutely amazing. The room was everything we imagined it to be. Yordan at the front desk was awesome. He was very professional and even gave us a greek shot to celebrate our new marriage. They carried all of our heavy luggage up and down all of the many steps leading up to the hotel. We even met the owner at one point and he was also very friendly. We had great restaurant recommendations. The room was clean and very spacious. The master bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and large too. We had a wonderful time in Santorini and will treasure our stay at Art Maisons for a very long time. I will say that the room was very pricey but it was a splurge for our honeymoon. And we are very glad that we stayed there.

We stayed in Marine for a night which is really fantastic. Since nobody stayed in Sunset Suite that night, Yordan suggested us to watch the sunset on Sunset's balcony. It was an amazing sunset and we got great photos as well. We enjoyed marine's private jacuzzi while sipping complimentary champagne from the hotel. All perfect details and services.

We loved our stay at Art Maison. It is a small botique luxury hotel with a price you would expect to pay for that experience. I would say the two primary reasons to stay here are the views/location and the lovely unique rooms. As to the former, wow you really can't do any better on Santorini. At the very end of the island in Oia, high on the cliff and situated directly n line with the sunsets, it really can't get any better than this. Each of the rooms has a private balcony where you can sit and take in the sunset each night. Many have jucuzzi's or pools, and a,so ample and comfortable seating. This is the location where everyone who wants to see the spectacular sunsets from Oia comes, and they are worth it. We would watch the sunset each evening from our balcony and then just as the final glimpse of the sun would end, there would be a spontaneous ovation from the crowd gathered above and around the hotel. The rooms are each unique, and are ornately decorated in a luxury style. They have separate kitchen areas which is. nice because the hotel has no food service or restaurant other than preordered breakfasts. I would say that the lack of food service was one drawback, though easy to overlook in light of the views. The other drawback is that you are very near the well traveled pathway down to the bay below, which somewhat reduces the privacy of the experience and there was also an occaisional fragrence of donkey mess that would flow up to the balcony from the path. One important tip if you stay ther is to make sure and arrange with the hotel for the transfer of your luggage as it is buried in the town and you really don't want to be dragging your luggage though, up and down from the parking area to the hotel. The staff at this hotel was really great, and consistently provided the type of service and attention that you would expect at these prices. Very courteous, friendly and able to provvide lots of great recommendations and tips on Santorini, and they made a number of reservations for us for dinners, tours and so forth which made life easy.

Room Tip: We liked Aqua (though didn't use the pool). Sunset is also outstanding if you don't mind no...

Stayed w/ my wife in Sunset Suite however also viewed 2 other suites- Aqua and marine. These are smaller, one has an indoor pool, and the views are not as nice. I would pick the sunset suite over those 2.

General:

- Huge "private" balcony w/ jacuzzi & one of the best views on the island
- You are paying for the balcony when you book this room
- At sunset people gathering above on oia castle mostly Asians w their huge cameras
- main area of Oia shops & restaurants is a few min walk
- Suite has 2 ½ levels, w bathroom upstairs and kitchenette a few steps downstairs
- Kitchenette: fridge, sink, stove, glassware, expresso, but NO microwave
- 7 min walk from taxi drop off, luggage carried by the staff

Positives:

- incredible balcony
- nice traditional décor
- excellent, responsive staff
- steam shower
- complimentary tea, coffee, water
- smooth WiFi, no resetting of log ins and passwords

Negatives:

- dangerous step btwn sitting area & BR. My wife and I slammed our toes on it multiple times & it hurts. Staff was aware of the issue
- no bathroom (and toilet) door / privacy
- common walkway to 2 other suites, so not 100% private. You can see people walking right by the main front door & windows.
- AC stopped twice and had to call someone to "reset" it
- decent breakfast, but not great (for this $$ I expect more)
- breakfast needs to be ordered the night before
- mistakes made more than once on our breakfast order
- musty odor in room, not fresh smelling
- small safe (no iPads or laptops)
- balcony & jacuzzi not truly "private," as people can see you from the steps & restaurant behind

Despite the above drawbacks (many minor), I still give it 5 stars due to balcony, service, location.

Sunset Suite offers unobstructed view of Oia and sunset since it is on top of the other suites. You will be envious of everyone since you are relaxing in your balcony while everyone else jostling for position in the viewing tower to view the sunset. The balcony is so spacious and the view is so great that we ate all our meals on the balcony. Why would you want to go anywhre else. Staffs are friendly and helpfull. Breakfast is okay nothing great. Coffee machine is great for the early morning wake up. Highly recommend this property.

As we arrived to Oia, we were met by smiling manager assistant(Im embarassed not to remember his name), who handled our heavy luggage all the way to the hotel, which we would never manage by ourselves, considering so many steps up and down. The hotel is located right under old ruins, where lots of people getting around to see the view and take pictures. First we stayed in Sunset suite, which is very nicely decorated! It has a large terrace with a perfect view, but not as private, because of all the people gathering to watch sunset on above ruins. We couldn't use the terrace much, as it was too windy and cold on our first day. The room has steam shower which we loved, also with the beautiful view. One thing that bothered me(not so much my boyfriend) is that the bathroom had zero privacy - just a few steps up and no door! Another thing is that the small windows and the door opens to common walk way for a few other rooms, not to our terrace, which was on a different level. Its not like people are walking there all the time, but there are two rooms below the Sunset, and sometimes guests walked by saying hi :-) We decided to move to a different room(Aqua), which they kindly accommodated. We loved that room, as it was very convenient! It has a shared terrace right in front of your door and a very private small terrace, which we gladly used ;-) The room is spacious, with nice kitchen and bathroom. The pool inside is weird, we didn't use it. The breakfast was basic. We expected more for a pricey place like that. Since they don't have kitchen or restaurant, everything had to be ordered in advance. I found it inconvenient. We couldnt even order a bottle of wine, because they didnt have it at the hotel. We went to a local market to buy wine and snacks and every room has small kitchen with a frige, a nice coffee maker, a stove etc. We had a special deal for Eros suite, which is gorgeous, but decided to stay in Aqua, because it seemed more private. Eros has an outdoor cave pool on the terrace, but it so close to the public path, with people and donkeys walking back and worth. The staff was amazing! Very helpful, friendly and nice! They gave us a lot of recommendations for restaurants, activities etc. Our favorite restaurants were Kandouni and Kuprida - amazing food, service and atmosphere! Oia town is the best place in Santorini! Overall we loved our stay in Art Maison. It's a very unique and special place, with every room being a piece of art and $$$ view! Giving five stars to the staff, the view and the decor!

We stayed at Oia Castle as newly-weds for 9 nights. The location and views are just great. We were located about 5 mins walk into the main street and approx 219 steps down to the harbour. We were in the Marina Suite for 2 nights which had a jacuzzi on the balcony and private terrace and then upgraded to the Olympic suite which had a pool in the room :-) - this terrace was not so private so you did have people walking by and the donkeys up and down the steps outside - not that it bothered us.

The breakfast was delivered at the time specified and was delicious. Jordan and his team do a great job looking after their guests, recommending boat trips and restaurants to try out in Oia and Fira. We spent a few days relaxing and then did a couple of bus trips into Fira and also to Perissa beach which was lovely and quiet with plenty of choices of tavernas to eat in.

The choice of restaurants is vast so we ate in a different restaurant every night and it is worth eating at one of the harbour restaurants to enjoy fresh fish with a drink and watch the sun set. The portions tend to be quite big too so even better!

We will be back.
