My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Majestic, and enjoyed every minute of it. We were picked up at the airport by the Majestic driver, and upon arrival were promptly checked in and shown our room. The room itself was a good size, and very clean.

Location-wise, the Majestic is a 10 minute walk from Fira (the main town in Santorini). The sidewalk is on the opposite side of the street from the hotel, and there's no crosswalk, but it's usually lightly traveled so easy to walk across and then into town.

At the Majestic itself, we took advantage of the two pools and associated lounge chairs (it was a heat wave, and about 40C when we were there!). While at any time one of the pools was crowded, the other was usually empty, so it was easy to cool off and then find a shady chair to read and relax in.

We ate dinner at the pool-side bar & restaurant one night, and found the Mixed Grill to be well priced, and more than enough food for two people.

On departing, the driver gleefully drove us to the ferry dock.

Yes, this is a "resort" type hotel, but the really outstanding thing was the service. Special thanks to the driver who was friendly and efficient, and especially to Angelika at the front desk, who gave recommendations, arranged dinner reservations, and was generally really really helpful!

Room Tip: Any room would be good. Even those with a "Caldera View" (aka, facing the street") were quiet and secure.

We stayed at The Majestic Hotel, Fira, Santorini for 12 days in August 2017 as a family of 5 with 3 teenagers. Hotel is superb - we stayed in 2 triple garden rooms which were each easily big enough for 3. The bed was 6ft wide with a comfortable mattress and had a decent put-you up bed and mattress for the 3rd person. Swimming pool gorgeous, sunbeds comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful - Eleni definitely deserves a special mention, lovely lady who can't do enough for you! The girls in the beauty salon deserve a special thank-you too - bringing out cold flannels and giving free arm massages by the pool. We ate in the pool bar a few times, both lunchtime and evening - great food. The hotel is ideally located for strolling into Fira (10 mins max) to eat at the many restaurants, tavernas and bars. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay there again.

Room Tip: We had a triple bed garden room - large room, 6ft wide bed, quiet

The majestic made our visit to Santorini truly memorable. The staff were accommodating, friendly and very helpful. Eleni deserves special mention along with the front receptionists. Our room was clean and the loft made for a nice separate sleeping space. The pool was quiet and clean. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The hotel is located with a perfect view of the caldera in front and you can see the ocean from the balcony on the other side of the rooms. We were able to watch the sunset from the comfort of our own balcony. You can walk into town in 5-10 minutes, yet are away from the hustle and bustle when you want some quiet time. The hotel offers many day trips and excursions, which makes the stay even better. When we left for checkout they gave us a room to shower in when it was time for us to leave. I couldn't recommend this hotel more. Truly amazing.

The staff, view, food, and rooms were amazing! 360 views of the city. About a mile away from town, totally walkable. Stayed here with my family we ate at the restaurant one night and laid by the pool during the day! The staff lives on property, so you get to know them and they make you feel like family.

Room Tip: Rooms were clean and had amazing views of the water and the town.

This hotel is superb, perfectly situated 10 min walk from downtown Thira with spectacular views of the island. The hotel is quiet not over crowded the rooms are well appointed, clean and spacious with the bed on a quaint mezzanine leaving the main area like a living room. We never had any problem getting a sun bed with towels provided. The staff were friendly and efficient I highly recommend this hotel we will be coming back.
