The hotel is situated right in the middle of Fira, yards from loads of bars, restaurants and shops and 3 minutes from the famous Caldera - the views from there are magnificent. The standard rooms are very comfortable, beds excellent with good wifi - but worth paying up for the premium rooms which have a shared balcony area. (Steps - no lift). The staff couldn't be more helpful. Highly recommended if you're on a budget.

Room Tip: Premium rooms have terrace and view

Pros: This hotel was perfectly located right in the heart of Fira in the middle of all of the shops and restaurants and clubs. Walking distance (3 minutes) to the bus stop that takes you to Perissa, Kamari beach, Oia etc. The hotel room was clean and we may not have had a view at all but we are in our early 20s and were looking for a budget hotel for a few nights and this was perfect! The bed was super comfortable too.

The gentleman named Igli at the front desk was incredible! He helped us figure out what we wanted to see and do and he gave us info about the busses and his opinions on what we would enjoy seeing in santorini the most. He made our stay amazing and we are so grateful for him! I've never been treated so well by a hotel staff member and he truly made our experience one we will never forget.

Cons: The breakfast cost 5 euro and it consisted of boiled eggs, toast (basically a ham and cheese sandwich), a sweet loaf of bread, and tea or coffee. It wasn't anything special but good enough to start the day especially considering anywhere else you go for breakfast nearby is minimum 12 euros. It would have been nice to see less starchy foods though and maybe some Greek yogurt or bacon or something.

This being said, if you're looking for a great budget hotel in a prime location and don't need anything fancy then this is for you! It was clean, comfy and helpful staff and the best location. We will definitely be staying here when we come back to Santorini! Thank you Tataki!!!

We read lots of great reviews about this hotel but sadly it didn't even come close to living up to them. We had booked a room with the town view as it was a bit cheaper but the view was only of the dirty courtyard blocked by other buildings. When I asked if we could upgrade to the rooms with an ocean view as the hotel had advertised they told us that this hotel only had city view rooms.

The hot tub at the hotel was disgusting, full of dead flies and mud and gravel on the seats and bottom. The room was not too bad other than the bathroom having black mold everywhere (yes I know, tropical climate).

They were renovating one of the rooms I guess because they kept drilling into concrete at all times of the day, which would have been fine except they also drilled into about 1030 pm, have a little respect for your guests.

There was no hot water except for the very first hour we were there of a three day stay.

Terrible stay. Do not visit.

The hotel is VERY well located, and the owners are very nice, and very Greek. We stayed for 2 nights in February, and none of their amenities, if they had any, were open. I think they may have been building some, or possibly hoping to turn the area outside reception into a swimming pool as the plakis was constantly being hosed down. In February. For the design itself, the architect had clearly been given the brief to create a poem in concrete; even the bed, bedside tables and shower stall were fashioned artfully from the material. They'd run out before they got to the chairs, though, but as there was no room for them IN the room I suppose that's immaterial. No balcony, either, so we couldn't locate the raucous Greek Chorus who enlivened one of the nights from around 1am til around 6. The proprieter looked a bit taken aback at a request for the breakfast we'd paid for, then rallied and asked if we'd like it outside or in our room. Being February, we opted for the latter. One of the amenities possibly being considered for the future is providing a ceiling for the restaurant, as, at certain times of the year this would be a Good Thing. (Such as February). The second day we decided against the breakfast, in OR out (it was a two egg omelette, 2 cups of coffee, 2 glasses of oj, some bread, some jam, some butter, btw)... however, when we came to settle up, it was decided (not by us) that we had to pay for the unserved breakfast as booking.com would charge the hotel for it. Would they now. As we weren't checked in OR out, and had no receipt (unless you can call whinging about currency controls a receipt), I would suggest that booking.com won't be charging the Tataki for anything. Oh yes, that 10 euro overcharge has rankled... dealing with anything in Greece you eventually get a little tired of the ingrained avariciousness... having said which, the staff were helpful, the room was comfortable enough, and the location was great.

Room Tip: There was a room near us with a hot tub on the balcony that looked quite nice.

The hotel is well located, but there are many factors that did not make our stay a pleasant one.

Uncomfortable, we visited in winter and the room was too cold. The heating air was not working properly.

No privacy, we didn’t like either, every moment we went back to hotel to look for something, somebody was inside cleaning, or repairing something.

Dirty, we wanted to use the electric teapot provided and was very dirty and rusty. We asked the owner to change it and he only said… oh it is ok you can use it, and didn’t want to change it. The walls are also old and scruffy.

Irresponsibility, they told us they would pick up us in the airport and never arrived. We had to pay an expensive taxi. When we asked the owner in our arriving he only smiled and said he was there, but he wasn’t of course.
