“Good Beer, food, not so great”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 October 2011

Ordered the litre of octoberfest. Great deal and top quality. Also ordered pierogies --the purpose of the visit-- and was disapointed to find them fried. They are handmade by a guy in Rochester and this is one of the few places you can get them. They were obviously good quality, but the fry oil made them taste like used oil, very unfortunate. Also orderd bratwurst and a beef sausage. Both sausages were good, but the beef one was better. The bread they came with was inedible, but they're German sausages, so only mustard is required. Service was fine, if a bit xanaxy.

“Great German Food and Specialty Beer”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 September 2011

Rohrbach's has a long history in Rochester. They make great beer, often having specialty flavors such as pumpkin or blueberry....a favorite of mine. Along with wonderful German food, they also offer a wide variety of sandwiches and dinners that never disappoint. My favorite is the fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil panini! Yum! You'll enjoy your experience!

“pricey for lunch, but casual and tasty.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2011

went there for lunch, and thoroughly enjoyed a huge burger, which was good quality beef, and fresh fixings. the micro berr was a nice toudh, as they have their own brews along with everyone elses. a little pricey for a burger, but it was huge and came with fries. i would not hesitate to go back for a tasty frosty beer, or a lunch, but i am not crazy about dinners there. the wait is too long, and it would appear they do not take the time for detail in the kitchen. quantity over quality reigns for dinner. but great for lunch.

“Overall very good visit on Wednesday...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 March 2010

Overall very good visit on Wednesday night. Called ahead for resv. for 4 adults and child. Seated right away (booth for 4 and chair, not perfect). Rapid attentive service. Great beers. Large portions of food, served hot and crisp. Desserts very very good (spice cake special and apple crisp).

“Good food and brews!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2009

Living in Rochester, NY we visit Rohrbach's many times during the year. The food never disappoints and the custom brews are outstanding. It has a wonderful charm to it and a great atmosphere for nearly every occasion. There is a nice variety of food including sandwiches, salads, burgers and German cuisine. Their soups are to die for! Try the Highland Cheddar and Stout and Onion, if available.
