We stayed at the Doral many years ago, and thought it was lovely. Boy have times changed. We spent our first night at the La Quinta, nearby, and we are sorry we moved, but this is where our family was staying. Except for the pool, which the grandchildren enjoyed, everything else could not compare to the La Quinta.
The room: - only one night stand, so someone did not get a light on their side of the bed. And the room needed more light. It also was musty smelling and needed a paint job.
There was an armchair, but unlike the La Quinta, no comfy hassock to put your feet. And of course no refrigerator or microwave. Plus the rooms are located very far from the lobby.
The service was terrible. The people at the front desk were rude and did not make you feel at home. When our room was made up, housekeeping forgot soap, shampoo, washcloths, cups for the coffee maker. And it took two calls to get these supplies.
Don't rely on a past experience--don't stay here. We read the poor reviews, and did not want to stay here--all those reviews were correct. Unfortunately we had no choice .

Our family of three (our 3 year old boy) took a last minute trip up to Doral Arrowwood for Labor Day weekend! We had a blast! The personnel were very pleasant and knowledgeable about the area. The food was delicious—our package even came with breakfast included! The indoor/outdoor pool is the perfect depth for any swimmer, even our toddler. They had s’mores by an open fire each night we were there! There are plenty activities for any age group at the hotel. The rooms were very well kept and the grounds were pristine! If you’re looking for a fun family spot for a weekend getaway, this is IT!

My room smelled of mold. Hard to relax given the intensity of the bad smell. The hallways are noisy. The pub blasted 1980s rock. Place seems quite dated and in need of refurbishment. On the positive side, the restaurant was good although expensive.

I am currently staying in this hotel. Positives: nice staff and spacious rooms. The swimming pool has water in it and the grounds seem nice. Negatives: rooms smell of damp (whole hotel for that matter). Decor is tired and generally old (not helping the smell factor). Worst though is that the walls are paper thin and I’ve had the misfortune of having to spend the last 2 hours listening to my neighbour yelling relentlessly at his computer games. I asked to be moved only to be told they were at 100% capacity. After further angry calls, it seems they were able to find a room after all. After a 12 hour flight and serious jet lag, it would have been nice if they could have “found” this room when I first complained. Overall, it’s ok here but Im looking forward for this conference to be over so I can leave.

We visited Doral Arrowwood this past week for a long weekend trip. This was the perfect place to meet up with old friends. Our rooms were nice and clean but the shower was amazing! We had a lovely view of the course with a window that let in the perfect morning light. The staff was really friendly and we really enjoyed eating at The Pub a few times. There was plenty to do on the property and it is a great place to have as a home base while you explore Westchester.
