Such a lovely location inside Saratog state park. Warm and inviting hotel, reminiscent of yesteryear with service to match. Who has a complimentary shuttle these days! Golf, bike, swim, walk the trails searching for mineral springs, check out the spa- truly something for everyone. Really comfy beds and friendly staff. I will surely return!
We got the tiniest room with a king bed that took up most of the space. The tiles in the bathroom were painted white over the original green and the paint was peeling. The shower was one of those "bath fitter types" which is used to cover an old shower asx a cheap fix. The problem is the it didn't "fit" and when you stepped in the bott and side deflected, making it a dangerous situation. The place has potential, but needs a serioos renovation, not cheap fixes.
The location is beautiful. The hotel could really use some upgraded furniture, bathroom, hvac. We had plumbing issues that were resolved during our stay. Also one of our trash cans had not been emptied before we checked in - gross! Great location if you are going to an event at SPAC.
Wonderful historic hotel located in a lovely state park with hiking and biking trails, pools, historic springs and a spa. Less than two miles to downtown Saratoga and the racetrack with free reliable shuttle service to the track, downtown and other nearby location. Beautiful place to relax and destress.
Excellent experience. While the ratings about tired old hotel are understandable, my wife and I had a very nice stay in an upgraded room. A big shout out to Eric, very professional and courteous reception agent, and Ron the shuttle driver. We will be back. This hotel warmly contributes to a true Saratoga experience.
