We can't say enough good things about this place and the person who runs it! The place feels more like a Norwiegian gite than what we Americans call a 'cabin' - since there's nothing dark or 'camp-like' about it. It feels like it's out of a contemporary design magazine - FULL of light, light-colored wood and huge windows. The floors are heated and the wood stove keeps you warm and toasty even when it's -30 outside. The location is perfect for walks along the river (on the edge of the property!), visiting Quebec City (less than an hour away), or just relaxing inside. We can only imagine how delightful it would be in warmer seasons when you can have dinner outside in the covered breezeway between the two cabins.
And... IZABEL is more than just 'the perfect host.' She IS the perfect host (always available to help with any questions but also gives you privacy) but she's also just a delightful human being who has not only built this fabulous retreat, but also started her own maple maple syrup production that rivals the more established producers in the area. (Once you taste it, you will have no other.)
The only downside about this place is that you just really don't want to leave it. Ever.
