Made a special trip here for the April $10 buffet special and on top of that got another $2 off! Note that you have to be 21 years old to even get into the casino. So no kids at the restaurants either.
We got the casino Players card to get the special price on the buffet (and got $10 promotion slot money as well). We arrived for dinner about 6:30 and there was a long line to get in to the restaurant. But worth the wait. While we waited a staff member came around offering bottles of water. Nice touch. There was probably about 70 people ahead of us and it took about 40 minutes to be seated. One pays at the desk and then a hostess seats you. The restaurant is pretty large, seating 350.
There is a mix of booths and tables to accommodate different size groups. The floor is carpeted which I found interesting. Does keep the noise level down.
The food stations are impressive, lining the entire back wall of the restaurant. Plus there is a separate area for desserts, salads and shrimp cocktail and something on a shell (mussels? oysters? clams?). The price also includes soft drinks, lemonade, ice tea, water. Beer and wine is available for purchase at about $4-$6.
The selection was impressive. Here's what I saw when I visited: grilled veggies, wood fired pizzas, breads, variety of spreads, antipasto, cheese, olives, roast pork, roast turkey, prime rib, flank steak, sausage, pot roast, fried chicken, meatballs, pasta, lasagna, BBQ chicken, pulled pork, baked beans, corn bread, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, mac and cheese, other BBQ meat that I can't remember, chicken noodle soup, turkey soup, egg drop soup, some Asian spicy soup, Asian dishes - Lo mein, Kung Pau, sesame chicken, create your own stir-fry, other vegetables (brussel srpouts, collard greens, cauliflower, etc.), salad bar with greens, so much more I can't think of it all.
Then the desserts - they are beautiful, high end, many in bakery cases where the staff gets them for you. Such an assortment: soft service ice cream machine with assorted toppings, house made gelato (about 8 different flavors), cheesecakes, cookies, dooms, cherry bombs, tarts, mousses, cakes, chocolate tulip (the best!), apple cobbler, bourbon bread pudding, and many more things.
We had a friendly waitress who kept our table free of dirty dishes and refilled out drinks.
Restrooms are just outside the actual restaurant. Just bring your receipt to get back in.
We sampled many different foods. And all ranged from good to excellent. The prime rib was very good. Shrimp cocktail were nice size and they just kept dumping tons of them on the iced display. It was delicious.
We were impressed and the $10 deal got us to the casino. The casino is nice and we'll be back.
