I stayed in Kempinski hotel for 5 days, which is more than enough. The beachside room was good enough but not luxurious. The service in general is very good. Booking a half board package will be the right choice, as a la carte food wasn't great. Don't even think of ordering sushi, it was a big disappointment. Just for your information, one bottle of Evian costs 210 rupees (15 euros), go for local water 80 rupee.
There s a nice beach next to four season hotel called anse soleil which is 30 minute walking distance from Kempinski, I really recommend to go there, amazing spot to swim (deep water not rocky at all).
If you are planning to buy some souvenirs, don't even think of buying it from the shop next to the reception. Either buy from Victoria market or from Mahe airport duty free (there's a shop on the second floor is cheaper than the one next to security check )More
