“Amazing family getaway!”
Reviewed July 15, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

What an incredible destination! Beautiful vacation house in the French countryside. The pool set up for the kids was great, there were bikes for the local trails, and the place was completely relaxing. A gem!

“Lovely, well equipped gite, in a quiet, rural location”

If you're after a place to get away from it all and just relax in the French countryside, then L'Entree 2 Pierres will take some beating.

6 of us, including a 12 week old baby, stayed for a week and found the gite to be comfortable and spacious. Bedrooms are a good size. The kitchen is very well equipped, especially useful for when you are having to prepare feeds for a baby, or for when it is raining and you can't use the barbecue.

I recommend you take a Sat nav to find your way around the area and in order to be able to find the gite in the first place. The endless miles of roads winding through the vineyards of Bordeaux may be beautiful, but can all look very similar, so it is easy to get lost. We took our Sat nav and it took us directly to the gite.

When it did rain, we enjoyed travelling to Bastide towns in the Gironde and Dordogne region. Castillion, Monpazier and Eymet were lovely places to visit for a day trip.

The local supermarket, a Carrefour of good size, can be found in Branne, about 5m away. In Branne you will also find a couple of restaurants, bakeries, but not much else. Sainte Emilion is about a 25 min drive away and is a beautiful town with a lot of history. We took a tour of the town in a tuk tuk, which was an original experience I would recommend.

Our hosts, Rodrigue and Servane were very pleasant and always available to answer any questions we had both before and during our stay, which gave us peace of mind during the booking experience and prepared us well for our trip.

“Excellent and with helpful owner”

Six of us, including a baby, stayed here for a week.
Very quiet area but the gite was easy to find following instructions from the owner.
The owner seems to be constantly improving the property and is soon to remove some laurel bushes that make reversing a larger vehicle off the property, a bit of a slow process at times.
The peace and quiet made for wonderful nights' sleep.
The facilities in the gite are very good. We had trouble with one of the showers and the owner was straight round to fix it. A private garden. There are bikes, barbeque and a table tennis table all for the guests' use. We did use the washing machine and iron a few times because of having the baby. It might be a good idea to bring a few towels and tea towels if you don't want to do any washing.
The situation of the gite makes getting around to visit vineyards, local towns etc very easy.
Branne has a Carrefour that sells petrol as well as the usual food etc. We purchased a beautiful birthday cake from a shop in Branne for one of the group. St. Emilion itself is a car journey away and well worth a visit (at weekends it is busy), there are plenty of English speakers there.

Absolutely beautiful property in a super location. A little remote but within easy reach of Branne where you will find shops, market on Thursday's and a Carrefour supermarket. So many lovely places to visit but a car is needed. st Emilion is amazing and so far we have visited Cadillac and La Rochelle ( 2 hr car journey) will visit Arcachon and Bordeaux.
The owners are really helpful nothing too much trouble, il sont tres gentille et nous aimons bien Le petite chat! Everything here that we could possibly need, thank you for allowing us into your beautiful house Servanne and Rodgerique

“A wonderful place to spend time with family”
Reviewed July 6, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We spent a lovely week here with our family. This is a great place to visit if you are traveling with young children. There was an outdoor slide and paddling pool which our children thoroughly enjoyed. The fenced in yard also allowed them to play in close proximity. We enjoyed taking walks and bike rides along the cycling path nearby. Bikes are supplied and everything is very accessible. It was easy to take day trips into St. Emilion. We were able to use the BBQ almost every-night and enjoyed some exceptional meals on the terrace. We would love to return one day!

“Relaxing time amongst the vineyards”
Reviewed July 2, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Fantastic accommodation! Everything that we needed was there. Close to St Emilion but far enough away to be able to completely relax. Servane and Rodrigues were absolutely wonderful and so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble! We would definitely stay again and will recommend to friends.

“Great accomodation and lovely hosts..heaven!”
Reviewed April 23, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Beautiful renovated barn with very simply decor and furnishing. The hosts were amazing and even brought our children DVDs to watch....some may say it's a bit remote but at the end of the day you're in the wine countryside, it's beautiful and it takes 10 minutes to drive to get to the nearest village and 25 minutes to st Emillion...remote or.Heaven/!
