We have just spent three nights in this lovely dwelling in the rustic hamlet of Lapourcaud.
The house is well appointed and very comfortable and the gardens and pool are well maintained. We enjoyed simply sitting outside in the evenings listening to all the sounds of the country, especially the bird life.
Our host, Jean François, is warm and hospitable and couldn’t do enough to make our stay a memorable one, making some very helpful suggestions regarding where to eat and visit.
We would definitely recommend this accommodation.

We are two Aussie retirees from rural Victoria in Australia and this place was as advertised rural surrounded by vineyards bakery 5 km open 6 am big supermarket 8 km just fine. We chose here to relax and travel to various towns and markets. We did a market every day for the first week. Our daughter, son in law and 2 grandchildren came after 5 days from the UK being just over an hour our of Bordeaux airport in flat country and a motorway if you choose made theirs and our arrival and departure quite simple. As a base with all the comforts of home- although a second shower or an onsite would have been luxury. The pool is not heated so it was too cold to swim yet, grandchildren tried. Weather 25C no cold wind now into April 2015 we have been her 3 weeks depart 18 April back to Australia via a 2 day stop in UK. The owner was most helpful and gave us some simple tips and outings and we thank him kindly for our lovely stay.
Tip you need a car with GPS to travel to all the lovely little places, many of the narrow sealed roads lack signs to the town area you may have chosen.the most noise here is roosters crowing and small tractors in the vineyards during the day, night time so quiet we loved the evenings not dark until 9pm, local wines cheese and stick breads. The charcoal BBQ works fine we used it twice.
