Unfortunately we only booked 4 days at Stamatia's House but it was sheer magic. The view from the balcony, the friendliness and thoughtfulness of the owner and the staff at Gonatas Hotel next door, the peace and quiet (except for the gentle tingling bells of the goats). Did not undertake any cooking whilst there as the restaurants in the picturesque village of Agia Efimia ( 10 minute walk max ) were of such good quality and most reasonably priced. We went to To Peresma, Poseidon, and The Local (twice). If we had been there longer we would have eaten in as the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and equipment. Ate breakfast at the Gonatas Hotel on two occasions. Will return if the opportunity presents itself.

A fantastic little house with superb views over Sami bay. Owners live next door and Stamatia herself looks after the property. She cleaned the house every three days in the two weeks we were there. The place is immaculate. Nothing is too much trouble for this lovely lady. We had a heavy storm one night and in the morning there was two umbrellas left over the door handle for us. She even fed us lunch on three occasions, totally voluntary. The house is double glazed with insect mesh on all the openings. There is also air con in the main room. Two outside tables with four chairs and two sun loungers and sun umbrella. Walking distance to the lovely village and lots of very good tavernas. Cheap too. This has to be the best village on the island.
Our only grumble would be the bed, it was a bit hard for us, but we have a memory foam mattress at home so maybe it's us, not used to a sprung mattress.
