Description: Rivendell Restaurant is an awarding winning, family friendly, pet friendly, relaxed atmosphere restaurant that invites you to sit back, enjoy the stunning dishes created by our amazing chefs, while absorbing the ambience of the beautiful gardens. The food is lovingly prepared using the freshest seasonal, local produce. We have four areas to choose to dine in; the air conditioned restaurant for those hot days or cool evening, the stunning deck area offering romance and stunning garden view, the undercover courtyard area that allows parents to relax while keeping an eye of their children playing on Sponge Bob (our bouncy castle) or playing on the oval.

We had a late lunch here today after visiting a few winery's. The front was fairly rustic, the interior clean, a kids activity area set up, and beautiful views. The decor friendly but not over the top. However the absolute dining experience was amazing without the pomp. Staff Lee and Gabbi were welcoming, knowledgeable and Lee had a great sense of humour. Gabbi was just lovely. Attentive but not intrusive. The restaurant also has disabled facilities including a disabled toilet.

The food...absolutely amazing! We were served with a complimentary cauliflower soup,, we all could have had a whole bowl of this...glad we didnt! Despite it being sumptuous. we shared the spring rolls, bread plate and piece de risistance...the prawns. All dishes were beautifully plated with an array of sides. For two fussy eaters on our table...everyone totally thought the dishes were incredible.

Mains for our two foodies were steak and the fish of the day. They were in heaven. The two fussies (one of which is myself) managed to finally finish a dish without passing it over to the foodies...they were only allowed a small sample! A huge compliment to the chefs!!! Plating was beautiful.

For desert two foodies were supposed to share a sticky date pudding...one was away admiring the view when it was served. The other had to be reminded it was a share...before it was all consumed. Consensus was that it was the best they had ever had.

Matched with a lovely chenin the meal was one of hte best we all had eaten. And we all eat out quite a bit.

A hidden delight. No wonder it won gold plates 2016 and 2017!

Well done to the chef's and wait staff. A fantastic experience.

My girlfriend and I celebrated our anniversary at the Rivendell winery restaurant and couldn't have been more impressed. There was only one other family there who left shortly after our arrival, so we had the place to ourselves.
Lee, our host was a funny, engaging character, who went to the trouble of laying out balloons and a banner to congratulate us. We got complimentary bubbles and Lee really went out of his way to make our night special.
The food was amazing and very well priced, and the wine was delicious!
I couldn't recommend this place enough. Deserves more than 5 stars!

We had a lovely lunch here today in the ambient setting overlooking the well kept gardens. The food was delicious and the service very friendly. We weren't sure which wine to choose with lunch and were quickly offered a 'taste'. This was a good move because we opted for the Chenin Fume Blanc, which was excellent, and ordered a case before leaving (not our original intention at all). We enjoyed our lunch so much we'll certainly be going back again before we head for home. This vineyard really appealed because it is elegant and stylish, without being ritzy and over the top like some of the others.

Absolutely gorgeous place to visit. I have to say The BEST gnocchi I've ever had. Warm friendly staff that can't do enough for you. Definitely on my list when back in town. Must see on your trip to the area.

Stopped in for a bite with my parter while in the area last Friday. The delightful lady welcomed us warmly. Her understanding of the menu ensured our choice was exactly what we liked. The oysters fresh and spring rolls were very well present. Our mains were among the best meals we've had in the region for quite some time. Thank you Rivendell for your seamless and professional service. We will certainly be back for more
