“Wonderful log house !!!!”
Reviewed September 1, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We stayed 3 nights with our 4 children ages 2-14. The log house is brand new, clean and has anything you'd need. Even the small things like oil, butter or matches for the outdoor fire. It is located nicely away from the road but yet very easy to find when you drive there. The view from the back porch is breathtaking. We even took the canoe to lake Placid. The owner is extremely nice and friendly. He has board games, DVDs, life jackets for the boat….. even bug repellant spray….
This place is really unbelievable. Can't wait to come back !

Thank you for leaving your helpful review for your stay at my log home, and I'm thrilled to hear your family holiday in the Adirondacks went well! I'm glad you appreciated the little things like kitchen items available, and also pleased that you got to use the canoe over in Lake Placid! I hope you decide to stay here again for your next family trip to the Adirondacks, and if you do, I'm happy to offer you a returning guest discount! Happy vacationing!

“As good as it looks”

The family, including our dog, stayed at the cabin for a week in June and we were very happy with the experience. The cabin is new and still feels new and although it is a log cabin it is not getting back to basics: everything you need is provided and provided well. It is surrounded by trees, looks up at the mountains, and there is a constant sound of rushing water from the river at the bottom of the property. It is not isolated, but still feels quiet and peaceful. Wilmington has the necessities and Lake Placid is not far away. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a place to rest and relax or for a base to explore the activities of the beautiful Adirondacks.

“Superb Getaway”

If you think the pictures of this recently built log cabin are eye catching....you HAVE to see it in person. I recently stayed at the cabin with my girlfriend for 4 nights and we were blown away from the first glance. The cabin is breathtaking from opening the front door, and continues to amaze as you explore each room. The owner spared no expense to outfit the cabin entirely with rustic cabin decor, most built from Adirondack trees. The views from the two decks are to die for. The location of the property is PERFECT as it's tucked away in a quiet place while close enough to walk to a deli and Lake Placid is only 10 minutes away. It's a GREAT bargain and a perfect get away.

Great to hear you enjoyed your getaway to the Adirondack Mountains, and that my house helped facilitate that! I grew up in an Adirondack log home, and wanted my own to feature some real logs too. I appreciate your zealousness, but in truth Lake Placid is 15 (not 10) minutes by car! Enjoy the summer!
