family has been playing here for years and it never gets old. We are always renting our mountain property to people and groups who want to come play here
Our group (28) has been coming to MM for about 10 years or so. I have to say it is my favorite weekend of the year Love the course and the scenery. Looking forward to August as our main group will be celebrating over 30 years of the greatest game ever. Thanks to Jim and his guys for making it a great weekend.
We drove all over the place--great views, beautiful homes, fall colors. The streams are showing evidence of the continuing drought!
Played here Labor Day weekend w 3 friends. Good condition, nice layout, and a really fun place. Play moved smoothly and quickly. Nestled into the surrounding landscape exceptionally well, and saw several deer. I recommend. No driving range, so you don't need to arrive too early for your tee time!
A beautiful layout for a golf course, but the course was grossly overbooked-to the point of taking 3 hrs to play 9 holes. Not only that, the course grass was like hitting every shot out of the rough. You almost couldn't hit a putt hard enough to get it to the hole.
They charged us full price for this misery! What a waste of a beautiful site, but I won't be going back here until I hear that the course is in playable condition.
Don't waste your time and money here anytime soon.
No, the mowers are not broken. The fact that we have had over 10 inches of rain in a 2 week period means very limited mowing that we can do on the course. We use 9 minute tee time intervals and do not overbook. Perhaps, we failed to speed up a slow group in front of you. All foursomes should play in 4 hours and 30 minutes.
Had the opportunity to play 3 rounds here in the last week and was amazed by the condition of the course, considering 10 inches of rain had fallen in the last week. Every staff member from the starter to the club house to the pro shop was incredible helpful and really nice. Highly recommend a trip up the mountain to play at the course.
Golf carts on path only all the time!
FYI, there are not a lot of other activities up here, so unless your wife and family enjoy nature, hikes, and books, they will probably gripe about your time on the course.
Thank you for the nice review. I'm glad you had a nice experience at Mount Mitchell.
