Absolutely fell in love with this place! We stayed in the captains room and it was very large! Loved fireplace in the room. Breakfast was to die for! The owners are so nice and were great with helping us with things to do around Asheville. Can’t wait to go again!

And, we sincerely hope you'll be back to visit with us again...either in an Inn room or in one of our cabins. Maybe next time, the weather will be better! Thanks for staying with us!

We stopped outside of Asheville on our way South for the holidays. We had the good fortune of staying in the Inn, a beautiful late 19th century home. Other members of our family stayed in one of the cabins. Both accommodations were comfortable, tastefully decorated, and the hospitality of the owners could not be beat. The bedrooms in the Inn was large with a private bathc sitting area and fireplace. The Inn is conveniently located just West of Asheville with easy access to the popular tourist attractions. It is also near a lovely small town with quaint restaurants. We packed a lot into two days and enjoyed ending the day in the comforts of this home.

We had a birthday party/reunion here. Rented out 4 of the cabins and had a great time. The cabins are well equipped, clean and located near each other for easy go between. The breakfast at the Inn was delicious and they were able to accommodate a larger crowd than typically fits. Rick and Tom strive to make sure you have a relaxing and fun time. Very helpful with tips about the area.

The Engadine experience is an excellent combination of a superb 1880s North Carolina homestead, and wonderful friendly and knowledgeable service from hosts Tom and Rick. Our room (the vineyard view room) was beautifully and authentically furnished and you feel like you have stepped back in time to old world luxury. Rick cooks an excellent breakfast and the whole atmosphere is very friendly and accommodating. Asheville is 15 minutes away and the region is full of adventure options. We couldn't recommend Engadine highly enough.

This was a surprise weekend trip from my boyfriend. We wanted to stay in Asheville, but wanted something a little less pricey. I was super excited when we pulled up! This was my very first B&B experience and it was perfect. House has great history and is decorated with antiques. We stayed in the Vineyard View Room and it was beautiful and CLEAN! I can't go on enough about how clean this room was. The linens were beautiful and plush, robes were luxurious, bed was comfy, and there is really not a detail that was overlooked. The little common area fridge even had complimentary Diet Coke which always elevates a review in my book! Tom and Rick told a great story with their Welcome book and let me just say...the breakfast. It really is one of the very best I've ever had in my life, and I am a foodie! We met some great couples while staying there and enjoyed meeting Ambrosia! This truly was a great find and we will definitely stay again. I've seen a few negative reviews about the house and décor being old - I believe that is the point. And the house may be haunted? Well, we weren't graced with the presence of the founders, but isn't that kind of a neat part of history for a lot of people? Well done Engadine. Perfect combination of old with new updated hospitality. Also gave us a great tip on a place to eat that was yummy. See you guys again soon hopefully!

Room Tip: Vineyard View Room has the best view, fireplace, nice claw foot tub, huge bed

Tom and I are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your first B&B experience and your surprise visit to Engadine! Engadine is a grand old place with a rich and colorful history where guests have visited and enjoyed its charm and hospitality for decades.

YES...most B&B's today area all about offering guests a lodging option that is different, better and special while, at the same time, providing the same amenities and services you will find in a luxury hotel! Now that you've enjoyed the experience you should definitely come back to see us and, when travelling for business or pleasure, consider exploring other B&B's!!!

We do like to feed our guests so it's also great to hear that you liked our breakfast offerings! Asheville is a "foodie's" paradise and we try to do our part by starting each day of dining with a hearty, chef-prepared meal that will complement the feasting experiences that will follow.

We'll be looking forward to your next visit!
