Description: Like a true diner, we serve homemade food and breakfast all the time. We have comfy booths, as well as tables, and lots of high chairs and boosters for the little ones! We are a gathering place where locals are sure to see someone they know and visitors are likely to make new friends. We’re a community restaurant both in the sense that we are a local favorite and in the sense that we strive to be good neighbors and give back to our community

Fantastic service, unique atmosphere, great menu and prices. We enjoyed the salmon cakes and chicken dumplings. The apple pumpkin bread as a side was delicious! Highly recommend!

We waited about 20 minutes on a Sunday morning to be seated, which was fine and they seemed to move quickly. Coffee while you wait is always a nice touch.

Service when seated was a little slow, but was not a problem.

East parking.

Menu had all the breakfast items expected at a Diner. One nice feature was that the menu listed all the bread options, including gluten free.

In a town of coffee and biscuit shops we were happy to find a restaurant serving real breakfasts. I was visiting in Carrboro only 4 days but enjoyed my first visit to Elmo's so much I went again the next day before hearing back up North. I ordered the Greek omelette both times. It was stuffed with feta, spinach and kalamato olives and so delicious. Our server was so personable and helpful which added to our experience. The building ambiance and menu variety is a welcome change from "order at the counter and take a number" we experienced at other eats close by.
