“Meh. A bit pretentious without delivering ”

It’s become stylish to paint store-front Italian as something haute cuisine-ish. This is that.

Prices are on-par for better, stand-alone Italian restaurants that, at least, serve Italian bread for each table. Don’t expect that here.

A simple glass of prosecco is$9. A tasty platter of oven-roasted vegetables is $12. Most pizzas and pasta dishes are around 15 bucks.

Sadly, the online menu selections vary greatly from in-house reality. Online mentions sandwiches, non available at dinner; but pasta dishes, not available on the web menu, are on the dinner menu.

Groups with separate checks may also encounter difficulties.

Not bad , but not exceptional.

The ingredients used at Treforni are top quality and their pizza's are delicious but that's where the praise for this pizza joint come to an abrupt end. The pizza's are small and two were not enough for my wife and me which is truly disappointing given the prices.

Treforni used to make their own gluten free crusts, however now only the gluten free pizza available is the margarita that that comes on a frozen crust for a $4 up charge.

Dont expect a quick take out either. We called in our order, was told it would take about 15 minutes. When my wife arrived to pick up the pizza 15 minutes later, they had not even started making it.

The food is quality, but dont expect much else.

I have been to Treforni many times since it opened and had I reviewed back then, it would have been just a 4 Star review. But good things come to those who wait, because now I can give it an enthusiastic 5 Star review. As a new restaurant when they first opened there were hiccups with service and consistency, but now I feel they have hit the sweet spot with revised menu, interior changes and up fittings, and now additions to the menu that should not be missed. For starters, the salads are pleasing and so fresh tastings with simple ingredients (arugula, tomatoes, red onion and feta) and minimalistic yet tasty dressing. The best and newest item on the menu is the antipasto plate - with thinly shaved prosciutto, pickled red onion, grilled asparagus, thinly roasted red bell pepper, pile of arugula, toasted bread and a hunk of the best cheese ever!! The classic Margherita pizza is great, but upgrade to the DOP version, you will not be disappointed. The pepperoni calzone is a favorite of the growing boys in my family since it is very filling, and another favorite is one of the white pizza's on the menu- the prosciutto arugula pie. Make sure you leave room for the cannoli's for a dessert. Its fun to split a plate of these because they serve 4 small ones on a plate, just enough to have a wonderful taste but not get too full post dinner. Make a point to go there and eat dining in - the taste right out of the oven is the best even thought they do delivery now. They have made a point of having a very good wine selection to accompany all the great dishes on the menu, so you will no doubt leave there feeling completely satisfied.

Great last minute post ice and snow, casual pre-party dinner! Glass of Rose with a shared ensalata caprese and a Margherita pizza for 2 - perfect!

Drop what you are doing and get to Treforni for a wonderful meal. Whatever you order, get the antipasto first. OMG, what a great selection of fresh meats and cheeses, and olives and breads. The first time I have seen burrata on the menu anywhere near here. If you haven't eaten this cheese before, please try it so you can go to Heaven happy.
