Wonderful experience. Amish country store, great sandwiches, wonderful gift ideas. Staff warm and friendly. The rueben was so delicious and could have easily fed 2 people.

Troyer's is a must for us. We have never had better meats or cheeses. A little out of the way, but definitely worth the trip. The quality is unbeatable (Boar's Head doesn't even compare.) It is pricey, but well worth the extra expense. Breads, etc. are homemade on premises. Made to order sandwiches are available. Store also includes Amish furniture, soup mixes, noodles, etc. The owners are great people, worth your support. I can't rate this place high enough.

The store feels crowded because there is so much packed into a small space. Furniture, quilts, greeting cards, food stuff, fresh bread and pies, and superb cold cuts. We go to Troyer's every other week for fresh eggs and cold-cuts. Its a friendly place!

Drove from Asheville to here as the desire to see an Amish store was on the "to see" list. Was very disappointed in the items that were available. Was hoping for more homemade fresh baked goods and there were not. Yes, there were Amish and Mennonite made canned goods. But when I saw Olive Oil on the shelves, I didn't know that the Amish or Mennonites grew Olives? The products were a bit pricey and the location is about a 20-25 min drive from downtown Asheville. It is a very winding country rode and a dirt driveway to get to the store. Access for motor homes would be very difficult because of the angle of the dirt driveway to get to the store and there is a very winding 2 lane country road to get there.
