A very comfortable and well appointed way to enjoy the Highlands. Our room was ground floor with porch and rocker and fireplace. Inside a wet bar, Nescafé and a comfortable setting area. Price was fair. Very convent to down shops and restaurants. Only downside was an apparent short staff at the front desk. Several times had to wait for service, a scenario noted by a few other guests. We’d definitely go back.

My wife and I recently stayed at 200 main on Friday and Saturday night after not being able to stay at the main property that Old Edwards Inn. They own this property and i would highly recommend considering this for the price. The location is perfect being only a 3-5 minute walk to the main downtown area. This property has great amenities including a nice pool and a shaded lawn area with a few hammocks to relax on and also a firepit area to enjoy a glass or wine in the late afternoon. The room also has a nice covered porch with two rocking chairs to enjoy some outdoor time. My only negative feedback would be on the size of the bathrooms. We found it very hard to enter and exit because the size of this space is so small. It is only feedback and nothing too negative because you will not be in the room too much during your stay in my opinion. Overall i find this being a great location to call home during your visit to The Highland.

Room Tip: i would request a room that overlooks the main road because the porch in your room is located in the shade.

Oh my goodness the room perfect, the shower better, the bed so comfortable!! The balcony in the back. Highlands is perfect the weather and sense of community but 200 main is so perfect!! The pool heaven

Room Tip: king room with a fireplace overlooking Main Street!

We booked per an online offer from the sister property, Old Edwards Inn, and I was pleasantly surprised. We had a nicely renovated 1st floor standard king room with a very comfortable bed with top notch linens and towels. (See below) All rooms have a refrigerator, another bonus, because Highlands literally shuts down at 10PM, meaning you can’t even buy a bottle of wine unless you want to pay $40 for a $10 bottle from the hotel...

So, after a good dinner with friends we decided to reconvene at the highly touted on-site fire pit only to discover it is shut down at 10PM as well, so sadly that amenity we were unable to enjoy. The lobby staff directed us to the Terrace Room which offers comfortable seating, a large screen TV and a gas fireplace as an alternative. It was fine, but we wanted to enjoy the beautiful cool weather with good friends and a bottle of wine around the firepit ... now THAT sounds good, doesn’t it? Alas, can’t happen at 10PM - so be advised.

My advice: bring your own after-dinner beverages, don’t count on relaxing around the firepit, and most importantly, book a room on the 2nd floor because, if you don’t, every footstep above you will sound like a herd of elephants.

I really enjoyed my stay at 200 Main. The staff were friendly and competent, the room was clean, and the mattress was super comfortable. We were within walking distance of downtown Highlands with numerous restaurants and shops.
