I stayed at Surfcamp Guanico for a week at the start of November and it was the highlight of my time in Panama.
This place isn’t the easiest to get to but it’s worth it once you’re there. The tiny beach village feels way off the beaten trail and it’s a great place to get away from it all. The hostel itself is big and comfortable and the young staff are friendly and helpful - and the food they cook is amazing!
In between sessions; surf stories are shared with staff and other guests while chilling on the comfortable couches. Nico knows the waves here so well and he’s happy to give you advice on which board to take to suit the swell that day - and they have a huge selection of very nice boards to rent.
If you are a surfer of any level looking for a chill untouched place to get away from the usual tourist hustle and bustle book yourself into Surfcamp Guanico and watch your stress levels drop!More
