Trudy is the owner and was super accommodating when it came to all our questions and our needs. We have a small teardrop and we're pretty thrifty so we needed a place with a bathhouse but that wasn't too expensive. Got a site for only $25 a night! Major bargain. Yes the place is old and yes it's more of a mobile home park than campground but if your needs are small and your pocketbook is even smaller, this is the best bargain in town. Campers have access to the stove, oven, fridge and freezer, which was super helpful. Very close to Hammocks Beach state park, convenient to Emerald Isle and Carteret.

I wish I would've taken a photo! It was scary and dirty! Many longtime residents that had their campers surrounded by trash and junk. The pool area and bathhouse looked filthy from the outside. We drove away and found another nearby campground to stay at.

At Buttons 6/30-7/6/15 in a small 5th wheel, 3 adults. Just $85 cash w/ full hookups. Iffy wifi. Miss Trudy is nice. Clubhouse OK. Swim pool looked fine though we didn't swim. Not many short term sites available but several long-term residents are there. Practical, not charming. Not close to Beaufort, Morehead, or So. Outer Banks. Quiet. Closer to tourist sights campsites were outrageously expensive, so a toss up.
