We're not long back from a fantastic stay in Cap Sec and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good value for money holiday in beautiful area of France.
We chose the house based on its location in France. Provided you have a car and don't mind a little driving there is absolutely loads to see and do within an hour’s radius. Highlights for us were visits to Foix, Carcassonne and Mirepoix as well as longer trips to Ax le Thermes and the Roman baths and Wolf park.
However if you like being able to walk to a bar, restaurant or local bakers this may not be the property for you as it’s in the countryside and some may feel that it’s a little remote.
The house it's self is set within a couple of dwellings and farm steadings. The neighbours are very friendly although it definitely helps if you have a little French.
The welcome notes say that they are in a continuing process of modernisation and this is probably a fair assessment. The Kitchen, Bathrooms and Snug are modern and very well presented. Other areas area's are a little more rustic, although unless you're looking for a homes and gardens experience it is more than acceptable.
The house is well fitted out and we genuinely didn’t want for anything in terms of equipment and entertainment. There are even little boxes for packed lunches!
All in all it got our ‘thumbs up’ and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends.
