Fabulous!!

We stayed two nights with another family in cabin 171 managed by Natalie of Magical Moments===super time. The house was beautiful and well maintained. The views were stunning. Natalie was super to work with. Cabin 171 ==loved the hot tub and the pool table. Kept us all entertained after a day of skiing. The road up the mountain is twisty, but not really scary or challenging. Went down it after a snow fall- no problem. The cabin is well decorated. the 4 bedrooms were all different and nice. A really magical moment on the mountain top

First of all, if I could give a rating for the cabin itself, it would get more than 2 stars. Unfortunately, these cabins are all "managed" by Carolina Mornings, and they did a horrible job managing the cabin in which we stayed.
Upon arrival, it was clear the cabin had not been cleaned at all since the previous renters left. Only one person in our party had cell service, and the landline phone and internet were out all week. We called from the one person's phone, and they sent over various people to "clean," which only included changing the sheets. I felt bad for the ladies sent to clean, because they had to wait for the sheets to make their way through the wash cycle (there were no extra sheet sets anywhere for them to use?). Instead of taking that time to clean the rest of the cabin, they left. We received a bunch of apologies, but had to ask for the floor to be vacuumed (it was filthy). We ended up making the 25 minute drive back to the store to get cleaning supplies to clean the kitchen and the floors. We tried to contact Carolina Mornings again, and they sent someone up to see us "first thing" the next day (11:00 AM), and all he could offer was more apologies and an offer to tell the reservations staff. As of the writing of this review, no one else contacted the main point of contact for our party.
The internet was in and out all week (more out than in), an no solutions were offered to this issue. They did respond when we notified them that the propane in the grill was empty, but that was the only suitable response to issues/concerns all weekend.
The pool (not managed by Carolina Mornings) was so disgusting we wouldn't take our children there. Overall, just a terribly disappointing way to start a week of vacation, made more disappointing by the lack of care and concern showed by the "management" company.

Many years we have been coming up to these cabins. Always a top flight experience. Short ride to the ski lodge, also 2 nearby snowtubing joints, attentive maintainence staff...what's not to love??

Ashville is less than 30 minutes away with about a million restaurants if "Snow Fun" doesn't work out.

Hands-down the best luxury home cabin experience you'll find near Asheville for the price. Stunning long-distance mountain views that change by the hour in dramatic fashion. Beautiful and cozy accommodations for multiple families or large groups, we had plenty of room and loved our time in the hot tub out on the deck sipping wine or playing pool on the lower level. The kitchen accommodated plenty of cooking, since at 4000 ft, you don't want to have to go out to eat every night. The ski lodge right next door will be bringing us back in the winter months for sure. This is our go-to location for our mountain escapes now. It was the ideal "get-away-from-it-all" experience without sacrificing comfort that we needed. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Serene Resort with amazingly kept homes. Drive from highway to resort can be little scary for first timers as it is very remote and one start wondering where this road is taking them. But once you reach resort it is all gated and guarded with pristine views. Food at clubhouse is excellent, Home are beautifully kept. Views are amazing.

We spent a weekend at Margaritaville in February with another family. The accommodations were wonderful, and the skiing was fun. An overnight ice storm didn't bother us as the property managers sent trucks out to salt the roads early the next morning. I highly recommend this property.
