Had lunch with friends including children
Prices promise amazing food but it was all a bit average.
Cheffy menu but missing all the bits that make a great meal and a feeling of being overcharged and under delivered
We arrived before our friends and requested some bread and butter whilst waiting. We got four slices of stale white sliced cheap bread.

Main courses had no vegetables with them (pie on its own) but the wait staff didn’t advise us to order veg. The price of the mains really would have suggested more than a pie on a plate.
Chips were rubbish.
Puddings good

Service was reasonable time wise (altho we were one of only two tables despite it being Saturday lunch time) but the wait staff (both men) were a bit aloof- they were definitely doing us a favour rather than pleased to see us. All felt a bit awkward.

So underwhelming and we wouldn’t go back. Nothing terrible but somehow we left thinking it could all have been better.

Had lunch with my friend yesterday here and it looked warm and inviting, the food was good, and Lilly the waitress was pleasant. Unfortunately a chap called Sam who was working behind the bar clearly shouldn’t be working in this environment where you need to engage with customers he was very cold and did not have a good attitude at all. It could have spoilt our lunch but thankfully we didn’t let it.
