I was invited to this restaurant for a private birthday party dinner for a friend on a Friday night. The atmosphere is casual and small town friendly. Folks stood on line outside awaiting a table. We had a small front room reserved for our group of 23 which would have held about 30. The food was great and the service was outstanding. We had a 14 Oz ribeye @$21.95 and grilled chicken plate @ $13.95. The menu has lots of choices from sandwiches, burgers to steaks, chicken, salmon plates. They have beer and wine only. This was our first visit here, but friends go here several times a month. It was definitely as hood as they had described. I will go back when in the area.

We went here because of the review on PBS's North Carolina Weekend and was not disappointed. Hubby ordered the pancakes with the blueberry/pecan topping and I ordered the Loaded Hashbrowns. Breakfast was delicious and very reasonably priced.

Huge dinner type menu, cheap prices, local flavor. The burgers are surprisingly large and tasty. Onion rings are great. Everyone seems to know everyone.
