Description: Taverna Agora is an authentic Greek kitchen & bar where friends & family enjoy good wine, eat wonderfully prepared, simple food and relax. The restaurant is reminiscent of gathering places found in Greece, with old world flavors and rustic roots. However, Taverna Agora expands beyond the traditional agora with a few modern flares, including hand-crafted cocktails, a gourmet marketplace and Sunday brunch.

First time to Raleigh and stumbled upon this place. The moussaka was terrific, very well prepared.
Lynn the bartender provided excellent service - helpful, upbeat, attentive.
Good value. Will return.

This is very good Greek food. The atmosphere, especially downstairs, is cozy and inviting. Everything is very nice about this restaurant. The slight catch is that Raleigh/Cary have excellent cheaper options for Greek/Mediterranean food. Neomonde, Sassool. These places offer great portions for quite cheap. You get a great experience and a wonderful atmosphere at Taverna Agora. For classed up food from this region, all the boxes are checked here.

Bright, clean, well decorated Greek restaurant with attentive staff who tried to accommodate our every need. And the food was great. Let us sit and talk for as long as we wanted. The menu was not too long, but not limiting. the only shortfall was that they did not have a pinot grigio. Excellent value.

I love Greek food. I have been to Greece several times. This place gets you pretty close.
The salads are as close to Greek as you will find. They have Retisina (Greek pine tasting wine--a must).
All the entrees are good. Don't fill up on the salad and bread.
We went there for a friends birthday on Christmas Eve. The waitress found out through our conversation and they comped the cake. The manager came to us and apologized for not having a candle. This is a great place.

This Greek restaurant is uniquely designed. It has a "garden" like set up on the top floor. In the summer time, they open up that room so it's a 4 season floor. It also has a bar!

The lemon chicken soup was AMAZING! The bread that was served came right out of the oven. We chose a pasta dish to split because they offer big dinner portions. It was the lamb orzo pasta. I would recommend this dish to anyone who is in the mood for something with a bit of spice and pizazz.

We sat at the bar and was a great experience. At the bar, you can really observe what goes on wth the staff and see how hard these people work! You also get to view the kitchen. We were greeted and talked to by all workers who came our way. They were very polite.

I love how the place is set up. If you want great Greek food and a new place to go, THIS IS YOUR GO TO!

Amazing job!
