Bella Monica has suddenly gotten very customer unfriendly! It was one of our "go to" restaurants for good Italian food, although difficult to get a reservation. Imagine our surprise when we called last minute on a Sat. Night and were told that rather than take-out, they had a table outside in the covered area... The receptionist said "it's cold outside, but the area is heated and warm, so you will be fine"... and she encouraged us to eat there instead of take-out. We quickly called a friend who met us there. Bad Deal! The heaters were inadequate, and the area was freezing. All the other tables in the area were empty. Even with a winter coat and wool hat it was breezy and cold... and who wants to eat with their coat and gloves on? The manager was unsympathetic agreeing it was cold outside but not willing to do anything for us. She did tell us that they have another area that is warmer, but that there is no space available there. The person who told us to come was not to be found. We settled on making a take-away order (35 min wait). When the food was ready to go, I saw some good-looking cannolis and asked the manager if she was willing to throw one in, in return for our receiving bad information and hassle. She said it was not her problem we got bad information from their staff, we should have known better. No! Bottom line: Good food, Bad care for customers. Very Disappointed
