Visited for mid week lunch, recommended by friends.
We ate in the restaurant and did book.
The menu was captivating and full of taste combinations that you wanted to try so very hard to choose.
We both chose homemade salmon fish cakes with tarragon mayonnaise, beetroot and rhubarb chutney, they were delicious and piping hot. My only complaint is that the finish on the China plate is slightly grooved and makes too much noise when you are trying to ensure you have eaten every last bit of the chutney.
The warm home made bread was brilliant.
My husband chose the fillet of sea bream and I had the pork fillet. The colours on the plate were amazing
Shared a fantastic treacle and hazelnut tart followed by coffee and home made shortbread and truffle.
The food is several notches above any other good restaurant and fantastic value too.
Service excellent and friendly in a lovely village setting.
Highly recommended , thank you Fox and goose.
