As a general rule, it seems people are leery nowadays of the family owned motel. If you have any concerns about Phillips Motel, you can let them go. We arrived late and the owner greeted us as if we were old friends. This place is loaded with atmosphere all around the property. Our biggest question, though, was what were we going to find when we went to our room? We found a quaint little room decorated more like home than a hotel. We found the room as clean or cleaner than any of the fancy chain hotels. This may have been one of the cleanest places where we've ever stayed. The bed was comfortable. The shower was hot with great water pressure. The bathroom was rather small but had great lighting and again was super clean, not even the typical black discoloration in the grout. Super Clean. The air conditioning worked quietly and efficiently. The microwave, and refrigerator worked perfectly. My only complaint was the TV was small and the cable was slow to change channels. We never found a way to go directly to a particular station, just had to keep scrolling until we got to the channel we wanted. Again throw out any concerns about this being a family owned motel, this place was wonderful. And if I didn't mention it already, Phillips Motel is super clean. We will have no issue staying here next time we are passing through Robbinsville.

This motel is very nice, it reminds of days ago when you didn't have the big chain motels. The place even lets you have a camp fire while you sit outside with your friends having a cold one. Rooms are clean and well taken care of. There are restaurants within walking distance and the room rates are about average.

Cute little place. This is an older motel with lots of character. Very clean. But what I liked the most was that they have a great place to gather, out front, after riding all day and to swap stories around the two fire pits. Of the rides to the Dragon , Moonshiner 28 and more.

The outside looked so cute!! Well, it pretty much stops there as it is a very basic place to stay. The motel rooms haven't been touched since 1978 and the mattress was rock hard. However, the sheets and towels were spotlessly clean. The room itself was clean and so was the bathroom but it did occasionally have a funky smell of sewer and bathroom cleaner.
It was nice to return in the evening however and sit by the outside firepits and chat with other guests.
Would I stay there again? I'm on the fence about it. Now I now what to expect, and for $70 a night it's the cheapest option, and walking distance to The Hub for breakfast and the Mexican place for dinner.

Stopped here 2 couple of years ago and nothing changed. Place very well maintained. Can sit outside around a fire in a group and talk about you ride. Covered parking for motorcycles. Different receptionist this time - a very sweet older lady. Reminds you of a favorite aunt.

2 blocks walk to several restaurants.

Bring your own booze. Place is in a dry county and cannot purchase an alcoholic beverage in the town.
