Staying here was like stepping back in time to the 70s. Clean and tidy with very comfy beds and crisp sheets the bathrooms haven't been updated for decades and are just about ready for a makeover. But they are roomy with plenty of hot water and good pressure. The air conditioner however is noisy as hell and kept waking me up. I would have liked to try the restaurant but it's shut Sunday's and Monday's. Reception shuts early we got in about 7.50pm and they were already locked up. There's a groovey little electronic box out front that gave us our keys. All I ever really need is cleanliness and a comfy bed and this place had both. No traffic noise either which surprised me but I probably couldn't hear it over the AC. Did the job. Thanks.

Well equiped motel, clean and friendly.
A very Quiet place included all the essentials for a pleasant stay. Great restaurant if you wish to have a meal. Generous serves and modern menu. Close to town center and on the main road easy to find as you drive into Millicent,
Pleasant 2 day stay.

Room Tip: all sre well located with a rear exit/entrance leading to a courtyard and pool area, makes it easy to get to front restaurant.

We stayed at Sandpipers recently having read all the reviews about how it was the best motel in Millicent. What can I say...........if that's the case then the other motels must be absolutely terrible. The motel is extremely tired and really needs a renovation other than some new furnishings. The bathroom window was permanently open which made showering in winter cold and very unpleasant. My advice is that unless you actually need to stay in Millicent keep driving to the next major town.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are away from the highway and therefore quieter.

We stayed here for one night recently. The room was spacious, clean and tidy. It was a bit dated, but had been smartened up with modern fittings. The bathroom was very old and must be due for replacement, but it was clean. The bed was comfortable and the wifi worked well. The air conditioning was very noisy. A microwave was supplied, but no crockery or cutlery. The motel had been purchased fairly recently, and the new owner was very friendly and helpful. I expect the rooms will be upgraded when possible. We were happy to stay here, and would stay again, if we are ever in the area.
(We booked and paid for this five months earlier. On trying to book direct with the motel, an additional $2.80 was going to be added onto the price for a 'Booking & Credit Card Fee'. Consequently, we booked via Expedia, which did not charge a booking fee. Presumably, the motel then had to pay Expedia some commission. This doesn't seem good business practice to me!)

Room Tip: Pay via an agent (Expedia) to avoid a 'Booking & Credit Card Fee'

The new owners are superb! They have done a great job with this hotel. And the restaurant on-sites serves high style food. Wife is from Thailand and she's an amazing chef! Thank you for a great stay and your food and service are fantastic!!!
