After a long bike ride around Aberffrew we stopped for a well deserved drink at The Crown. This was a nice little place with a couple of craft beers on tap. The pub also sold food which looked lovely, even though we did not have any - people who were eating there were all very complimentary. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Phoned at 5pm - many slots already gone! Must be getting really popular. 6.30 sitting for a family of 4 - lovely relaxed welcome and the food was spot-on! My lamb shank was huge!! My son had the whitebait starter off the specials board and was really impressed with it - not too much batter and on a gorgeous bed of salad. My wife is a vegetarian and she was very pleased with the lasagne. The portions were very generous - you won't leave needing more! Going back first chance we get.

An absolute godsend last night after arriving at a nearby village where pub only did food in season! The food was hearty the lamb burgers and fish pie very tasty, we will come again now we know where it is...
The staff could not have been more helpful and the selection of gins was fantastic. Great find.

We called at this pub on the recommendations of T.A. reviews. We wanted an early evening meal as we'd been out all day & somehow missed lunch. They start serving at 6p.m. & we arrived about 5:15 and were told a table would be available. We settled into the small bar to have a drink & peruse the menu. A few locals were in having a pint and chat and were very friendly, including us in the various conversations. The landlord is friendly and welcoming and showed us to our table early & took our order so our meal was promptly served.
The restaurant area is quite small & was soon full so I think we were lucky to get a table without booking, although you could eat within bar/lounge area. The food was very good & well priced. If you are in this neck of the woods it is certainly worth a visit.
