My wife, 10 year-old daughter and myself spent 4 nights at this amazing property. This property was very well maintained and clean! Let me say, very clean! We stayed in the S'conset suite and although the furniture configuration is a bit different in the on-line photo, the room is palatial. The bedding and linens are luxurious. The fireplace is an awesome addition. The breakfast was terrific, but the service was even better! We were there for 4 days and every morning we ate on a different set of china dishes! We were so pleased with every aspect of our experience. Sean and his staff all went out of their way to make us feel relaxed, pampered and at home. Sean was a wealth of local tour guide knowledge and assisted us everyday in planning our vacation adventure and evening meals. When we travel back to western NC for a vacation getaway, we will definitely return to the Yellow House!

We stayed on a Mon and Tue using our Groupon voucher. This is by far one of the best B&B's we've have stayed in. Everyone on staff was overly pleasant and accomodating. We stayed in the Pond House which in our eyes was a plus. The Benitaxell room was 2 stories and very large, overlooking a beautiful pond. Gas fireplaces in both the living area and the bedroom. A table for 2 is placed in a bay window on the pond side so that you can eat the fantastic breakfast, that can be served in your room, with a view. The ladies who brought our breakfast each morning were a cheerful start to our day. Can't say enough about the wonderful breakfasts - first day peach stuffed french toast with fruit and sausage, second day ham and spinach quiche with fried potatoes and cinnamon orange slices along with juice and coffee. What a treat. Every afternoon at 5:00 they have a wine and cheese get together that was a real bonus. The grounds were well groomed and peaceful. This was an excellent property to get away from it all and just relax. I should note that the town of Waynesville is one of our very favorite little, artsy NC towns with great shops and restaurants. You will not be dissapointed if you choose to stay at The Yellow House.

Yellow house provides a charming atmosphere and relaxing setting to get away from daily life. The host Sean and other staff are very accommodating. Breakfast was fantastic and can be served in the main dining room outside on the porch at the main house or in the room at any of the houses. We stayed in the savanna Suite. 1 item of note that was very disappointing is that it was billed as a "jetted" tub it certainly was not. It did have a air bubbles coming from beneath but no jets at all. disappointing. The landscaping was very nice and fitting for the retreats style. Obscured mountain views provided a beautiful backdrop for relaxation. The wine and cheese hour was nice and social. Common cheeses and wines, but plenty to go around. I got a good deal on this with groupon, I probably wouldn't recommend to a friend to pay full price.

The Yellow House was the perfect b&b - cozy roomy suite accommodations with wonderful perks - music piped in throughout the house, AMAZING breakfast (served on our own fabulous private porch) hospitable and helpful host and staff, easy to get to, beautiful grounds and overall top notch b&b that everyone should check out. We had a lovely time and hope to return!!

From welcome to goodbye, the friendly management & staff and superb accommodations make this B&B top notch. Delicious breakfasts & snacks and clean crisp rooms with five-star extras. Special request? No problem!! The staff bend over backwards to please. We could not ask for a better getaway. We slept like babies and ate like royalty. Have dinner at Frogs Leap Public House in Waynesville featuring local sustainable food & brews - delicious fine dining in a comfortable setting. The Yellow House on Plott Creek is close to Waynesville/Asheville with gorgeous grounds, songbirds, flowering shrubs, and more - cannot say enough about its beauty and serenity. We celebrated our 40th anniversary and this B&B was perfect: romantic fireplace, music, views, extras. Thanks Shawn, Connie & staff for a memorable weekend. Highly recommended!!

Shawn is awesome. From the moment you arrive you feel at home with little touches like fireplaces in every room, waterfalls and areas to sit all over the 5 acres of grounds where you can just sit and read a good book. The breakfast was fabulous and the best part; it's served in your room if you like! I loved the fact that I could lounge around in my bathrobe and drink coffee overlooking the pond and wait for my breakfast to be delivered. Wine and cheese in the afternoon was just in time to fill you up after that awesome homemade breakfast and great to know its waiting between 5-6 pm after a day of sightseeing. The beds are comfy and the sheets and towels are higher thread count so for folks like me- and I am picky, it was a great experience to know that the beds would be like a luxury hotel.
So many B&B's are on busy streets and even in a small town like Waynesville- it would be annoying. I loved staying in the pond house because it is far away from any road noise and very, very private. The Inn is a short walk away when you need some port wine or chocolate chip cookie which are available at all times. I can't say enough about this Inn and we have stayed at many in all parts of the world. Thanks Shawn and gals who took care of our every need. The refrig is stocked with Perrier and other drinks all on the house. I couldn't ask for more! Have dinner at Chef's Table in Waynesville- you wont' be disappointed and Shawn will make you a reservation at check-in.

Room Tip: The pond house is great if you want the ultimate in privacy. The carriage house is also very nice a...

what beautiful grounds, a nicely furnished home, and amazing hospitality at the yellow house bed and breakfast... you will never be hungry if you stay here between the delicious and very full breakfast and the "antipasto" afternoon snack tray. The other really nice touch was music throughout the whole house from 8 am to 10 pm. we wish we would have spent more time sitting around the house and relaxing and/or sitting outside by the pretty pond. however, we were pretty tied up with a wedding, which is what brought us to waynesville. On the whole, the yellow house was a fantastic and highly recommended place to stay.
