After looking at hotels in Asheville, NC and spending a few hours in Biltmore Village and experiencing the multiple traffic jams, heavy traffic and no parking (also up to $40 per night to park at a hotel) I decided to try something else.
This hotel in Weaverville was simply wonderful. Six months old, sparkling clean, comfortable mattress, soft inviting pillows, a new approach for Fairfield with at great stand up shower (no more climbing over a tub) and a welcoming staff made this a perfect place to drive 15 minutes to everything in Asheville!
The lure of the Blue Ridge Mountains nearby was a real plus. There were a lot of places to eat close to the hotel (walking distance) if you did not want to dine in Asheville and pay double for a meal.
The room I had was on the back of the hotel and there was zero road noise. The HVAC system kept the room at a perfect temperature so I got a great night’s rest.
With all the COVID-19 regulations firmly in place the breakfast was a bit limited as one might expect but the coffee was hot and tasty.
If you want a bit different pace during a visit to Asheville you might want to give this wonderful Fairfield a shot. From my perspective it was hundreds of dollars less expensive than something in downtown Asheville or Biltmore Village (including parking charges) and avoids the massive traffic problems that seem to plague Asheville more and more with each passing year.
