My husband and I stayed here after evacuating our home due to Hurricane Florence. We felt safe riding out the hurricane at this location as it is a four story concrete building and far enough away from the beach for any storm surge. The hotel staff did a great job! We stayed there for four nights - and three of those nights were without power due to the hurricane! They had emergency lighting in the hallways that they enhanced with flashlights in the hallways and stairwells. They had a generator for their kitchen so they were able to provide us with breakfast each morning and coffee (yay!). They also had a table with power strips so that we could all keep our cell phones charged. All of the staff was helpful and friendly. The housekeeping staff cleaned our room each morning and provided us with clean towels even without electricity. All of the employees that were there must have been staying at the hotel and were riding out the storm with us. Thank you!
If you're coming to Wrightsville Beach but don't want to stay on the beach, this Hampton Inn is at a great location. It is a half mile from the Intercoastal Waterway and one mile from the ocean. It is close to shopping and restaurants.More
