“Self Guided Tour”
Reviewed 5 April 2012

Excellent self guided tour. All areas of ship are open and explanatory signs are in place and very well done. Takes longer than the reported 2 hours if you read the info and stop to take pictures. Very interesting and worthwhile. Please note that there are many steep steps to ascend and decend through the various compartments and areas which may be difficult for small children and older people with any physical or strength deficits related to walking and climbing. Check with staff to see what accommodations may be available.

A historic trip in the past! This battleship is the jewel of Wilmington and North Carolina. It is open daily and gives you a indepth look at the live aboard a real battleship. Whether you are a histor buff or just slightly interested, you must visit!!!

“A lot of history...”

Wayyy more interesting than you'd expect. The passageways are narrow and winding, so I would not recommend this for older people or young children. You can spend hours and hours in there.

“USS North Carolina”
Reviewed 2 April 2012

Great tour, awesome ship! We attended our parents' renewal of wedding vows with many other "Navy" couples. Even though it rained during most of the ceremony on deck, the event was terrific, memorable and professionally run.

“A must stop as part of your vacation trip.”
Reviewed 31 March 2012

My family loved the ship. My kids were able to get an idea of what it was like for their grandfather to be on a ship like this. We spent several hours walking around the ship. It did get hot on the lower decks but my kids wanted to see it all. It was well worth it.
