When we arrived, the evening entertainment was ongoing in the lobby and the noise made it almost impossible to communicate with the receptionist. Our room was clean, nice and fresh, as the whole hotel is. The room furniture was stylish and fine, but somewhat limited. There was no luggage rack, so the suitcases ended up on the floor. There was only one simple and small chair and there were no nightstands. All rooms have two single beds, but we put our beds together and got a decent double bed. The safe could be rented for four BGN a day, but it was very small; it would accommodate a wallet, but not a tablet or laptop. The bathroom was also stylish and nice, but there were no hooks to hang the clothes on. The only toiletry was soap foam from a wall dispenser and you used it instead of shampoo. The TV had fifteen analog channels, mostly Bulgarian and German, as well as the BBC world news, but no film channel. Wi-Fi worked well all the time. The AC didn’t cool, but it wasn't really necessary.
The food was very good. Apart from standard dishes, Asian cuisine was served one evening and Italian another one. The house wine was of a very good quality. The restaurant is elegant, but the steps between the food station area and the sitting area make a hazard.
The evening entertainment offered sketches, games and competitions with music performed, and lead, by the animation team. One evening there was a show of partner dance and the audience were encouraged to try acrobatic rock and roll figures. The entertainment was held in German. They usually translated for us to English, but we were lost when German drinking songs were starting. A better language balance would be an advantage.
The pool area was neat and tidy and the loungers and parasols were in a very good shape, but we missed small tables beside the loungers to put drinks and other belongings on. You got a fresh pool towel every day.
The staff were very friendly, attentive and welcoming. They tried to help us when we ran into a problem with our return trip.
The hotel's location is very convenient, close to the beach, shops and restaurants, and the bus station with buses to Burgas and Nessebar.
There was a fire alarm one night, shortly after midnight, but it went calmly and everybody was back in the room within a quarter of an hour. There was another fire alarm in the afternoon, but it was over before it really started.

Me and my best friend (both 21 years old) stayed in this hotel from 24th July 2017 - 31st July 2017. We came for a 'party' holiday but still wanted a nice hotel.
As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne (possibly prosecco) by a very well spoken and friendly receptionist and an equally lovely gentleman who insisted on taking our luggage to our room. Meanwhile, the lovely receptionist went through all of the hotel details.
The room was modern, clean and spacious for the two of us. The room was thoroughly cleaned daily and even when we was still sleeping (until like 2pm) they came back later to clean the room unless we stayed in the room all day because we was unfortunate to get some bad weather whilst we was there.
The pool area was quite busy and a lot of the beds were pre taken by people who left their towels on them and was not actually there so we would advise people to get up early to reserve the sunbeds. However, one of the pool area staff could not have helped us more. He saw us lying on lilos and went out of his way to move sunbeds to get us two in the sun. It was also very clean and very family friendly (much to our dismay lol).
The food! We didn't actually wake up in time for the breakfast so we cannot comment on that. The dinner and tea were good, there was plenty of choice so please ignore the other reviewers who have said it was only catered for Germans. There was also a snack bar throughout the day which served good food and fresh fruit.
The drinks were better than expected for an all inclusive hotel. Antonio would always top up our drinks to make them stronger but only did this because he knew we liked it.
The strip was literally a 1 minute walk away and at the end of the hotel street was where the party crew reps worked so we always had things to do at night time such as bar crawls, beach parties and a go-to to which clubs. The start of the strip was mainly lively bars but a couple of minutes walk was where the more relaxed pub like places to go are.
The beach was about a 7 minute walk away from the hotel and it had lots of water sport activities to do but the sea had lots of sea weed in it which I did not like.

Overall, had the best holiday and would definitely recommend!
Thank you Hotel Club Bor!

Stayed at this hotel on a family holiday, I have to say the rooms, the staff and as we were all inclusive the food was great. I can recommend everything on our stay ....but we felt the resort itself was a let down, it is definitely party town which is fine if that's what you want, I'm a bit of an old fart and although the surroundings never intruded or affected our stay I wanted something more traditional but that may be for next time. Thanks club bor

Fantastic hotel, 5* cleanliness. A good selection of food. Great location!!!! My only negative points are even though we paid to all inclusive I fancied a Pina Colada one evening and was told I had to pay for it which was 6lvv = £3 And you have to pay for the use of the safe in the wardrobe in your room 4lvv per day

Just returned from 2 weeks at Club Bor as family & friends party of adults and kids ages ranging from 3,13,17 and 18 year olds.

This is mainly a German occupied hotel who are generally a bit more subdued than the English but this never bothered us at all and almost all hotel staff can speak English.

The hotel management team are active throughout the day & night and work hard to make your stay a pleasant experience .

Lots of recent lengthy reviews about this hotel so I will try and pick out the main points

Pros
*Clean modern hotel
*Lovely air con rooms with great bathroom/ walk in power shower
*Central location in centre of Sunny Beach
*Restaurants, bars and clubs all a few minutes walk away
*Pool area a bit cramped for size of hotel but nice
*Pool very cold but a good size
*Sun beds comfy and all work
*Good toddlers kids club
*BECK's beer on tap throughout hotel
*Hotel Staff hard working and all friendly and helpful
*Hotel Restaurant, am, pm and evening meals all of a good standard, served hot including a few themed nights
*Italian al crate, one booking per stay, well worth a visit
*Daytime animation team good and varied if your prepared to get involved
* Beach just a few minutes walk from back door of hotel and is lovely

Cons
*Pool area to right hand side very shady so if your a sun lover you need to get up early to secure a sun bed to left hand side of pool.
*Pool rules not enforced by hotel management, no reserving of sun beds, air beds and balls in pool.
*Evening entertainment geared up for Germans so a bit strange at times, they do translate in English but it all finishes to early
*Not many nice relaxing areas to sit during evening and not much going on in general
*They should play a bit more background music during the evening when the entertainment team have finished
*Standard of spirits & mixers average

This will be our first and last time we visit Sunny Beach, the hotel was very nice in general compared to other hotels in the area, however, outside the hotel grounds it's very run down and rowdy at night and more of a holiday destination for 18-30 age group.

Sunny Beach in General
*The place needs a facelift and looks rundown and dirty in places
*Avoid ice cubes not just in hotel but everywhere in Sunny Beach it played havoc with everyone's stomach in our party
*Most bars/clubs charge 1 lev to use toilets
*Apart from beers/ciders quality of drinks very average in all bars/clubs
* Did not find one decent Cocktail bar
*Not a cheap place to drink alcohol in bars/clubs
*All imported drinks not cheap up to 12 lev for a bottle of Cider
*All restaurants visited food was same old and nothing special but not expensive in general
* Lots of unsightly erotic bars and sex shops
* Dangerous high speed crazy 3 wheeled scooters zooming all over roads and pedestrian walk ways
* Numerous shops selling serious weapons such as knifes, CS gas, stun guns and spiked stars etc. which is a real concern!
*Walking about at night is not pleasant
* McDonalds on the strip is a big rip off
*My teenage kids loved the clubs and bars but also witnessed a number of drunken fuelled fights in clubs and on the streets throughout our 2 week stay

If you decide to visit Sunny Beach I do recommend this hotel but Bulgaria is not our cup of tea!
