We stayed as a family, my wife, my 13year old son and me for 4 nights at the Ranch and we really loved it! The food was great (also the vegetarian option), the views and the surrounding nature are amazing and the atmosphere is really quiet and peaceful.
Although absolute beginners we also really enjoyed the horseback riding. The whole stay was like a dream
My family and I just returned from an incredible stay at the Thanksgiving Ranch. It's hard to put in words how magical our stay was. This family-owned ranch is the real deal, with over a thousand heads of grass-fed cattle roaming the land. Brad & cie are incredibly welcoming, the scenery is breathtaking, the lounge is insanely gorgeous with care put into every single detail (I'd return just for the carpeting and light fixtures!). The home-cooked food is perfect (lots of local ingredients), the horses are just the greatest, and the pool is warm!! My 9 year-old fell in love with her horse Raymond, a gentle giant who's perfect for young children. Even my 5 year-old got to ride! And now I'm seriously considering quitting my day job to become a rancher.

I wanted to check in with you to let you know how much we enjoyed our time at the ranch! It was so wonderful getting to know you, Kristi, Aiden and all of the magical animals in your care 💜 As we were heading over to the airport we passed several ranches and I found myself smiling at the memory of yours, and the cattle call I got to experience on the back of that ATV! So many special memories it’s hard to pick a favourite. I still think of Moe and Jackie and the connection I felt with the horses, such wonderous animals. Once I get my own someday, I just might send you a picture!
Thank you for providing us with such an amazing place to stay and experience Alberta. Your lodge was incredible as was the food and the hospitality. I really hope to be back again one day and for longer this time.

We had such a lovely relaxing family vacation in this amazing place! Brad and his family are wonderful hosts, and real deal ranchers, ranching 1600 head of grass fed cattle for over twenty years now on their beautiful expansive property.
The lodge was charming, spotlessly clean, and our suite (creek side) had amazing views, two very nice bedrooms, and a massive bathroom with a walk in river stone shower.
Our kids ate like kings, played by the creek, went trail riding, rode out in the quad to move the herd with Brad, cuddled the dogs, fed and brushed the horses, played the piano in the lodge, and swam in the surprisingly large indoor heated pool. It was an easy and beautiful half hour drive to Waterton to go hiking one afternoon.
We can’t wait to go back.
