This is a pleasant surprise. An inexpensive, quaint, clean, well run Motel beside the Trans Canada Highway on the end of Little Shuswap Lake. The room was clean and comfortable. Slightly dated furniture, but everything clean and well kept. The check in was easy and courteous. Even the dog seemed to welcome me... or at least welcome my belly rub! The final thing I will mention is a review I read before booking. It critizized the smell coming from the air conditioner. Upon checking in today I noticed a service hallway with stacks of old AC units. Mine had a new Danby unit that worked just fine. No easy task given the surprising heat today. To me this says the owners are listening to the criticism and acting on it. Always a good sign.
All in all, a good example of a nice budget motel. Worthy of a positive recommendation.

After reading all the recent reviews on this motel, we decided to stop here driving back from Vancouver to Canmore. Yes, this is not a fancy option, but is very clean and spacious when compared to other franchised operations. In addition, the new owners did considerable renovation – new mattresses, new carpet and new toilets. The location is also convenient, right by TransCanada Highway 1. The traffic noise was there, but quiet down considerably after 9:00pm. If you have your door closed, it is not bad at all, or acceptable.
For basic comfortable stay, this operation earns a 4-star rating. However, it is the owners’ commitment and devotion that earns a 5-star rating. They genuinely take pride in their operation and attend to details of property maintenance.

Chase Country Inn is adjacent to the Highway just east of Kamloops, and a clean comfortable no frills Motel with an attached Restaurant. Rooms include Fridge, Microwave and Coffee. Adequate accommodation property is mature and well operated with cozy rooms, good linens and beds. Close to fuel stop with fast food, and a grocery market. Management is friendly and accommodating.
