We have stayed here before, so it was not hard to decide to stay here again. Although it is right by the TransCanada highway the noise of traffic does settle down at night so it's not that bad. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. Their rates are pricey for what you get but during the summer you have to expect that. The Wifi works well.
Thank you for staying with us. This is a belated response since we were so busy on upgrading our motel and dining offers. Now we have complimentary breakfast for motel guests during May to October. Our restaurant, Mongkok Cafe, is offering Chinese supper between 4:30pm-9:30pm. Recently we have added Japanese lunch hosted by Japanese Chef Jesse Nonaka.
Wifi equipment is upgraded. Internet speed is more stable and more capable for larger group of guests surfing at the same time. All in-room ACs have been replaced. Bedding is also upgraded!
Stayed here on our way to Victoria. Booked 2 rooms prior and was under the understanding that their restaurant was open. That would be a NO! An older place right by the Highway. Easy in and easy out. Noise was not that bad. Owners were friendly but should spend some money and update the whole place. And, because restaurants are sparse in the town, re-open their's.
Although the rooms were quite clean, the highway traffic noise did make sleeping very difficult. The pricing for this type of accommodation was nothing short of gouging and cashing in on summer traffic.
We stayed here twice on our way to Vancouver Island and on our way back. Cute little hotel just off the Trans Canada. Even though it wasn't far from the highway, noise wasn't too bad. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly.
Stayed here August 3rd for the night while passing through to Victoria the next day. The hotel was nothing fancy by any stretch but was exactly what we needed. We needed somewhere pet friendly, and a bed for my wife and l. The room was clean and spacious. Definitely a little dated but was more than enough for what we needed. The staff was extremely friendly. Due to some highway construction we ended up checking in late. I called the hotel to make sure there wouldn't be an issue which there wasn't but they made sure to tell us that as we were checking in late and that all the restaurants in Chase were closed and to make sure we stopped ahead of time if we needed anything. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if we needed a spot to break up the trip.
