Stayed here for two nights in july. The hotel is located near Gold Bridge and has great views over Tyaughton lake. The rooms are large, very comfortable and have a well equipped bathroom and an outside deck. Dining is great; the resort has an excellent restaurant. I also took a tour with Tyax Adventures; this was a scenic flight with a floatplane over the Lillooet icefield. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Rooms with lake view are very nice, sitting on your private deck, enjoying the great views.

We just spent five days at the Tyax lodge and loved every moment. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable, and we were able to stroll from our deck directly to the lakefront. The resort provides guests with unlimited access to spa facilities and to watercraft including paddleboards, canoes and kayaks. We took full advantage of these options and thoroughly enjoyed exploring Tyaughton Lake by the water. Food and drink options were excellent.

The lodge itself is in an incredible location and the biking and hiking in the immediate vicinity is fantastic. There are shorter trails nearer the lodge for quick exploration, and we also took the opportunity to do a floatplane bike tour from Warner Lake. The ride is a true epic and great way to see more of the wilderness that surrounds the lodge.

Five stars all the way! We'll be back next year.

Room Tip: Option of lake view rooms or quieter forest view rooms on the other side.

Stayed there on a mtn biking trip. Beautiful main lodge, rooms are large and spacious and appear to be recently renovated. Stunning views from the lakeside. Be sure to take advantage of their mtn bike adventures. We took the Tyax float plane to Spruce lake and rode back to the lodge through the South Chilcotin mountains.

Room Tip: Request a Lakeside room

We drove up from Vancouver and stayed at one of the nearby log cabins on this very peaceful, serene lake. It was a short walk to the Tyax Lodge. There, we enjoyed breakfast and dinner. Dinner was expertly prepared and presented. A special note goes to the deserts creatively prepared by the pastry chef, Yaz, from Toronto. We indulged in fudge cake, carrot cake and tiramisu. All were delicious but my traditional favourite, the tiramisu was phenomenal - the best I've ever had! The pictures will witness how special. Hats off to Yaz!

Room Tip: The desert pastry is top notch!

Wow this place is stunningly beautiful. The rooms are nothing short of outstanding. The bathroom is gorgeous with lovely lotions, potions and shampoos etc. Lots of lovely fluffy towels and bathrobes etc. Sat on the balcony and had drinks and then back for dinner after walking around and also sitting in the whirlpool outside. Just lovely. Heather who works there is an absolute asset to Tyax. She was friendly and wonderful. Other staff members were also superb. Would definitely recommend this place. Outstanding in every respect. It is not a cheap place to stay, it is very expensive and because of this I think breakfast should be included. Doesn't have to be fancy just a nice continental breakfast would be great.

Room Tip: I would imagine all rooms facing the lake would be good rooms.

Whoever came up with the idea of luxurious spa lodge in the middle of nowhere Canadian wilderness is simply genius. We stayed at Tyax Resort in September of 2015 and then again in August 2016, each time before and after our mountain biking trip with Tyax Adventures (a separate company). Both years, I was able to book a massage appointment for the afternoon of the date when we were scheduled to return from the multi-day mountain biking trip, which was PERFECT for loosening my tight muscles after 3 long days of riding. Spa area also features saunas and outdoor spa tub, which also were useful for post-riding relaxation.

Somewhat of a downside of the resort is that you basically have no dining choice beside the lodge's own restaurant. Cost of hauling food in could be prohibitively high, so they use lots of local ingredients, and food is superbly prepared. Just be prepared for a somewhat limited menu choices and elevated prices. Bar is well stocked too, but also pricy.

For our 2016 trip, one of the riders came with his wife who did not ride a bike. So while we were on a 3-day hut-to-hut mountain biking trip, she stayed at the resort, starting each morning with breakfast on the sunny deck, mid morning Mimosas, participating in free yoga classes or paddling a SUP on the lake, catching up on her reading. She said it was the most peaceful and relaxing vacation in her recent memory.

Tyax Resort offers something for just about anyone. We certainly loved our stays and most likely will be back again.

Room Tip: Ground level lake view is worth paying extra for

We spend 5 day for heliskiing. Great lodge with very friendly staff. Everybody was introducing themselves and asking for names. Also staff joined for dinner and not only the guides or pilots. Even houskeeping got to mingle. Rooms are very nice and make sure you get one overlooking the lake. Food is great and amazing for such a remote locations
