It was well worth the money. A relaxing setting with a view across to Cormorant Island. We encountered black bear cubs on the beach below and could eat our meals while watching eagles soar above the forest.

The cabin was large with a balcony and full cooking facilities. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves wildlife and peaceful surroundings.

We stayed for two nights while just checking out nearby Port Hardy, Coal Harbour and Port Alice. The cabins are extremely clean, beautiful decor and have everything you need in the kitchen. We loved the full cable package too, it was a welcome treat on a rainy day. Our dog didn’t want to leave! The owner Lisa was very accommodating. We also have a 5th wheel and thought the RV park would be great for a future stay. This resort is also near Marble River Provincial Park.

We were in The Port McNeill to go on a Fall Whale Watching trip and looking for self contained accommodation. We scored with Cedar Park. We choose one of their one bedroom, ocean view units. Our little apartment came with a full kitchen, separate bedroom, living room and a large bathroom. Cedar Park is about 5 km from Port McNeill along a well maintained gravel road. Even in the rain the road was in good shape. Cedar Park is definitely worth the five minute drive from town.

We booked this as a casual overnight stay before our whale watching experience (see Mackays in Port McNeill for a top attraction!). At first we were a little surprised that it was 3 km on a gravel road, although it wasn't a problem and it is clearly marked on their details - we just failed to pay attention - anyway, wow, was it worth it when we arrived. A beautiful setting atop a hill out of town overlooking the bay, with stunning views, we were greeted by a charming lady who offered smiles and advice of where to eat etc. In the event, we bought to eat in, as the facilities are great in the lovely cottage. Everything is spotless, tasteful and super comfortable. Shame we only stayed one night. Highly recommended.

Lovely cabin , well fitted out with kitchenette and gas barbeque, great views from the veranda over the sea, with a resident pair of bald eagles on view. It is a short drive on a travel road (5-10minutes) from Port McNeill. Friendly reception. Only downside was intermittent WiFi.
Highly recommended!
