We had the opportunity to rent out (pretty well) the entire resort for our office Christmas party. Wild Renfrew truly is, a hidden west coast gem. All the rooms we stayed in were immaculate. Beautiful views, every amenity we could possibly want, and an excellent staff that was extremely helpful from the very first email sent inquiring about a stay, to the follow up after we left to ensure we had a great time. We also did a large dinner party in the pub. The food was absolutely amazing, the servers were on the button the entire time (there was about 35 of us!), and when our party moved onto the bar side of the restaurant, the bartenders were extremely friendly, and allowed us to create pretty well whatever drinks we wanted (Yes, everyone was a little green the next morning, but it was well worth it!). We also had a number of children in our party, and they all had an absolute blast down on the beach, on the docks, and in the cottages as well. The cottages had plenty of room for everyone, and there was never a feeling of being "cramped". This experience was one of a kind, and we will definitely be repeating it next Christmas, if not sooner. Thank-You to the entire Wild Renfrew staff, it was their helpfulness and consideration that made this trip so wonderful.

We booked this place by the water in hopes for storm watching. There were no storms the few days we were there, but it was still worth the stay.

They upgraded us to the penthouse cabin because the firepit they had originally told us we'd have access to had somehow gone missing the day we arrived. The penthouse cabin has a nice, covered wrap-around patio. It was great for us to enjoy the gorgeous view and the waves without getting wet (it was drizzling the days we were there).

We had 5 adults and a child and I thought it was a nice cozy size for all of us. We hung out together playing board games in the kitchen area or cozied up around the living area watching TV. There may be cabins larger available elsewhere to fit so many people, but I didn't feel like it was uncomfortably small. To be able to fit so many people comfortably really helped cut down on our cost for the trip, which I think is a great plus. The only one down side to our stay was the cabins losing wifi. A storm from a couple days prior had knocked it down, so it wasn't their fault. They tried fixing it during our stay but to no avail. It forced us to "unplug", which was ok. May not be a good idea for anyone who needs to stay "plugged" for work, etc.

The pub is very convenient if you don't want to cook. The food was also really good. I would totally recommend the fish and chips. Light batter and the fish was perfectly cooked. Could very well be one of the best fish and chips I've ever had.

The staff are all really friendly and helpful. They gave us great pointers for when we visited tourist attractions like Sombrio Beach and Avatar. The entrance to Sombrio Beach is not marked, and about 400m away from the sign that tells you so. We took their advice to leave our car on the highway and hike in because of the major potholes on the road, and boy are we glad we did!

We had a wonderful time staying here. I would love to come back in the summer.. when it's warmer!

I beautiful spot to get away from it all. We stayed in the viewpoint penthouse which has an amazing wrap around deck with fantastic views. The cottage is cozy but fine for 2 persons. They promote up to 6 persons staying there but in my opinion would be away to cramped. Limited counter space but does have stove top, full fridge & microwave (no oven). Pub is conveniently located if you prefer not to cook.

Worth noting - when we booked the rates were substantially lower. We noticed they have had a major increase in their pricing; we assume this is due to the renovations they have recently done. They did honored the price that we booked at and we felt that what was offered was a fair value for the money, but not sure if we would pay the new price as it seems expensive for what is being offered.

Room Tip: Best views & privacy are from the penthouse cabin. Avoid rooms along the dock as you have no privacy at all.

Wild Renfrew is a hidden gem! I treated my mum to a night here for her birthday and we fell in LOVE! Gorgeous cabins, amazing view and convenient location. Port Renfrew gives you the west coast experience without the drive to Tofino. We are already planning our return!

We walked about the property in Oct so quiet time, beautiful location at the end of the road. Had lunch outside on the deck of the pier. Don't know the prices to stay there but it sure looks beautiful with cottages and decks overlooking the bay and ocean

Room Tip: We did'nt overnite just stopped for lunch.
