Just a few short kilometers outside of Smithers, you'll find this little RV park with cabin rentals. My husband and I stayed two nights in Cabin 3, which is outfitted with absolutely everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Just do a bit of shopping in town and you can nestle into a quiet little spot that still gives you excellent access to Smithers. We traveled with a cargo trailer and were able to leave the trailer parked and locked on site while we explored town. It was close enough to return for the trailer when we needed it. We made a reservation several days in advance and the cabin was warm and ready for us when we arrived. The guidebook provided in the room offers a plethora of options for sight seeing. We loved the peace and quiet, and chance of deer in the yard. There was only one other patron in another cabin while we were there, and the rv part of the park was still closed for the season, so we almost had the place to ourselves. There were only a couple of slight downsides, and all were endurable: One is that the park is on satellite internet, meaning there are a lot of bandwidth restrictions. Travelling from even further north, we look forward to having a lot of internet while we're in 'civilization.' Second, I found the curtains to be slightly undersized for the windows. We were practically alone on the site, though, so it didn't matter much. The futon in the living room which served as the couch wasn't the most comfortable thing to lounge on, and the bed in the separate room was only a double. None of these were such an issue as to prevent a return trip to this lovely park.
