“Great Trip!”
Reviewed 15 October 2016

The guides gave us 110% effort to make sure we got up as close as possible to see bears without disturbing them. We saw whales & dolphins enroute to bear site & the guides made sure we had plenty of photo ops! Everything was well done - guides were enthusiastic & knowledgable - it was a fun, safe trip - even snacks & lunch provided were great!

“Amazing Experience”
Reviewed 14 October 2016

This has been the most exciting day trip I've ever made. You go into Grizzly Bear territory by shallow draft boat pushed by the guys upstream the river and experience a couple of hours close to them. It seems they don't even notice you. We saw at least 9 bears and heard some more moving behind the bushes.
On the way between Telegraph Cove and Knight Inlet we saw Humpback whales, Killer wales and hundreds of dolphins. Every time the boat was stopped for photo opportunities. The late lunch at their boat exchange dock was also of high quality.
Thank you John and James for this beautiful experience.

Wonderful day with two delightful naturalists who explained everything to us in a very presentable way. We saw grizzlies, dolphins, humpback whales and numerous birds. It was a great day and an enjoyable experience

“Amazing tour”
Reviewed 11 October 2016

We saw so many bears in their natural environment. We have to reschedule due to weather and once more for logistics, but it was more than worth it. The guides really knew their stuff and they were informative, patient and aware of all things in the environment. The tour itself was smooth and well organized.

“Incredible Grizzly bear viewing”
Reviewed 10 October 2016

I was booked on the 26th September for the Grizzly bear viewing trip and was picked up from the dock at Hidden Cove Lodge where we were staying at 7.50am . Theresa and Kyle were our guides for the day , the first half hour was a bit rough but once we got amongst the Islands it was fine . On the 2/ 2 and half hour ride to Knight Inlet we saw Humpback whales and Dolphins and were fed plenty of coffee and snacks to keep us going .
On arrival at Knight inlet we transferred to flat bottomed skiffs to travel up the river , It wasn't long before we were viewing a huge Grizzly and her cub grazing and digging on the riverbank , absolutely beautiful . After watching these two for 20/25 minutes and getting some great photos we moved further up the river . We then stayed near a small island which Theresa told us was a bear hotspot , we didn't have long to wait when a bear came down river and passed by us only 15-20 metres away , this bear was quite playful and grabbed a string of moss and was playing with it in the river . This bear moved onto the island and out of sight , but again it wasn't long before another bear came up the river and appeared only 10 metres in front of us , and stood there for a while giving us great photo opportunities and so exciting to be so close . The bear wandered up the river and then charged through the river and caught a huge salmon which it dragged onto the river bank to eat and luckily I got it all on video . There were also Bald Eagles and Kingfishers flying around us while watching the bears .
After all the excitement we then moved back to the dock for the most fantastic lunch . But the day was not finished ,on the way back we saw more whales and then came upon a huge pod of Dolphins literally hundreds of them absolutely incredible .
Thank you so much Howard , Theresa and Kyle for one of the best days of my life.
