This was our second time with Tide Rip and there sure will be more in the years to come.
Last time we visited the grizzlies in september, they were all full and round from feeding on salmon...this time was all different, but no less awe-inspiring and beautiful - the bears were rather skinny from hibernation and we could observe them grazing and turning rocks, looking for clams.
We spent our lunchtime on a dock in the middle of nowhere, watching two young bears playfight at the shore.
Later on we even saw a mother calmly nursing her three yearlings.
At no time I felt that we were in any way disturbing the everyday life of these bears....that's a major reason why I love Tide Rip Tours.
What's more, there were bald eagles, dolphins and humpback whales! And on our way home we even spotted a huge black bear.
Big thanks to our skipper Daryl, our naturalist James and to Jacky - you all made this a perfect day!
