“Food is quite good while you wait for the tide to come in (or go out)”

Hopewell Rocks is best experienced at both high and low tide (6 hours 12.5 minutes apart), so eating here is both a pleasant replenishment and diversion. Lobster roll, bbq pork sandwich, fries, and local beer were all good. From the deck you can watch the bay water rise or fall. We also saw three kinds of hummingbirds on the nearby honeysuckle.

This park restaurant serves it's purpose very well. The food is good and reasonably priced. There are many gluten free and vegan options. The semi self service serves many people quickly.

After spending 2 1/2 hours at Hopewell Rocks on the Ocean Floor, we were cold and ready for hot food. The Cafe offered good food, and quite a variety. You order at the counter and the food is delivered to your table. Nothing exceptional, just what you need when you need it.

We stopped for lunch after a visit to the flowerpot rocks. For a touristy (captive audience) place, the menu is extensive with something for everyone. You order and pay at the counter, and they deliver your meal to the table you choose either inside, or outside.

My bride ordered the lobster roll, and it tasted good - there was just more roll than she wanted. She also got the sweet potato fries - also good.

I went with the fish and chips, and made the mistake of opting for two pieces of fish (it was only a couple of dollars more) - big mistake. The fish seemed fresh, and the breading was mostly okay - just a little doughy. But one piece of fish would have been plenty. The fries and coleslaw were good. It was nice to accompany my lunch with a draft beer.

We visited on Fri. June 9 and had the fish and waffle chips and chicken salad sandwich. Something my husband ate upset his stomach, either the seasoning on the waffle chips or the fried batter on the fish. I
I didn't have any issues.
