We stayed in the Lincoln Iceberg room at Puffin's Landing. We were greeted immediately by Maureen and informed of all the amenities, etc. She gave us a great idea of what to visit and what was going on by way of entertainment during our stay. Later in the afternoon we had the chance to chat with her husband Keith and his brother Eric. They told us a lot about the area: puffins, cod fishery, entertainment, places to stop or visit at our next stop. We ended up attending a concert that evening with Keith and Eric. We had a great time. Our room was immaculate and comfortable and breakfast was fantastic.

Cape Bonnavista's B & B GEM. We had the pleasure of staying at the Puffin's Landing B & B on July 6th'& 7th' 2012 and were totally impressed. The room, bed and food were just perfect. Maureen and Keith go out of their way to make the guests welcomed, comfortable and at home. Maureen's passion for cleanliness, cooking, serving and generally hosting was refreshing. Keith's passion for entertaining, story telling, local history love of the business, their Town, relatives, neighbors and friends was infectious. Keith introduced us to areas not normally available to tourists. He not only introduced us to capelin ( a small sardine type fish) , but had a friend scoop some up and arranged for us to have them for dinner that evening. There were so many highlights of our trip to NL.but Puffin's Landing and the super breakfast ranks # one in our memories. Would we stay there again? IN A HEART BEAT.

Room tip: Ask for the Puffin Chase room if available

Bonavista was the highlight of our holiday in N.L. thanks to Keith & Maureen, their obvious love & enthusiasm for the area was infectious, we carefully followed their advice & directions & found all the best places to see whales & puffins, we were even treated to a personal tour to Keith's secret place, fantastic views & only us there!! The hospitality was first class, the rooms clean & comfortable & the food great. Truly. we arrived as strangers & left as friends. We are already planning our next visit & wholeheartedly recommend Puffins Landing as "THE" place to stay in Bonavista. All the best Frank & Rose

Room tip: They are all good but the King Suite has a huge bed!

Staying at Puffin's Landing is like visiting with great friends... that you just met. The home, bedroom and breakfast were fantastic but the real treat was our hosts, Keith and Maureen! Tales of the history of their town and their obvious love for Bonavista was contagious. There were so many great moments but 2 stand out. Keith's brother, Eric "conning" me into helping him catch capelin as they were rolling on the beach (SO much fun!) and Keith taking us out to a beautiful place that he used to picnic with his family. The whales and puffins were there for a private performance. I would tell you were this place was, but it's a secret... one that is only shared with Puffin's Landing guests. :)

We stayed 2 nights with Maureen and Keith, enjoying every day. Toured the town's major attractions: Cabot's ship the Matthew, Ryan premises. Keith gave us directions for the Dungeon which is really cool, but then took us to the shore where the capelin were rolling. Then he drove us and another guest couple, off road, to the cliffs where we were able to view puffins and the dramatic shore, albeit through some fog. Our hosts advised of a performance by a Celtic band at a nearby theatre which we enjoyed. Room was comfortable, clean, quiet. Within walking distance to the town. Very nice stay.
